Breakfast! I recognise a restaurant was closed so the pressure on the conservatory was enormous. There were long queues for breakfast and breakfast service was slow. A woman on the next table left having waited nearly 20 mins for her coffee and toast. Most residents were on a time schedule with either playing golf or business meetings/conference. We did eat in the conservatory one evening but the meal was disappointing and overpriced.

The staff were very professional and extremely helpful. The room was very well maintained and comfortable.

Swimming pool area feels clinical for such a beautiful hotel. The Spa is separate and i'm sure lovely, but the normal swimming, sauna and jacuzzi is not in keeping for such a beautiful hotel

The stay was brilliant! The hotel was very clean and all the staff were brilliant, the only down point was we were really looking forward to utilising the spa facilities, a key factor in booking here, when we checked in we were told these were complimentary between the hours of 7-10, so the morning of check out we went down around 8am to be told it was fully booked and there was nothing they could do which left a bitter taste on the stay as we were really looking forward too this and weren’t informed at any point we would need to book the spa in order to use it.

Staff are genuinely excellent. Polite and professional. Hotel is immaculate and the Kohler Water spa is the best spa I’ve been in So many lovely areas of the hotel to sit and chill with amazing views of St Andrews and The Old Course. Swilkan Loft for drinks is a must.

The information regarding access to the spa a slightly confusing. From 6am to 10am and 7pm to 9pm guest may access the spa facility freely however between 10am and 7pm it is £40 per person and requires booking ideally as it gets busy. I believe it might be £40 for 1h but I am unsure.

Stunning hotel, amazing spa, it was my best experience in Scotland so far with excellent service and very accommodating staff. Me and my partner will definitely come back to stay here.

They could do with an iconic restaurant to go with the rest of their special ness. While the food i good - it is not special, not unique. In a hotel where everything is unique, this is a missed opportunity me thinks.

Slightly bigger portions at breakfast when ordering through room service. Some areas of hotel slightly tired. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

We had a room with two double beds looking over the golf course. Views were spectacular especially at sunrise. Shared a bottle of Prosecco in Swilcan lift, again beautiful views and great service- very pricey though (£48 for a bottle of Prosecco). Evening meal in the conservatory lacked a little atmosphere, however, the food was very tasty. We opted for room service at breakfast time which was taken up in a hot cupboard stored under the portable table on wheels. Beautiful poached eggs cooked to perfection. Pancakes with blueberries and creme fraiche. Great choice from menu. Delivered exactly on the time of request. Used the spa the next day as bought a package deal. Best massage I think I have ever had. The staff throughout the hotel were very professional, friendly and helpful.

Apon arrival - We rarely get a chance to escape from our lovable rogue whippets so when we walked around the beautiful flower display at the hotel entrance to the main reception, the unforgettable experience started with a smile and welcome from the concierge. I was instantly reminded I had booked a stay for a romantic getaway and wanted to spoil my wife, and that I had made the right choice as I could see the look on her face. Phew! Onwards to the reception to check in. So warm and friendly, and well I can honestly say my wife and I loved every moment of our stay. The Spa to the breakfast, the walk from the room to the grounds and everything in-between will make us smile when we talk about our Old Course Hotel experience. Thank you to everyone.
