Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The Room I stayed in was the smallest I have ever stayed in at a hotel, it was more of a cloakroom. It was located directly adjacent to the lift, the door would bang all through the night.

The hotel layout to get to the room was quite bizarre...a whole maze of corridors to get to our room. was worried about this in event of fire or anything happening for emergency exit. Corridors quite narrow and a bit creepy.
We had a family room with 1 double and 1 single bed. Room was spacious and beds were comfortable. Bathroom was quite small but clean. staff were very nice and friendly. It was my daughters birthday and they left up a complimentary cake to room for her. The Bar area was nice and relaxing. Breakfast was fine. Hotel was in nice area with plenty of food options around. Close to underground too so made it ease to get to and from airport...and connect to other parts of London. Walking distance to Buckingham palace.

Room 112 should not be a room. Three flights of stairs (down from the first floor - then up through a door - then up exceptionally narrow stairs) to get to the room with luggage is not customer friendly. Also, if the reception staff offered to take the luggage to the room it could've been better but no such service was offered.

A great couple of nights at this hotel. Very conveniently located between 2 tube stops. Lots of cafes, restaurants, etc nearby. Lovely part of London. The staff were friendly upon arrival and we were checked in quickly. They also safely stored our bags as we arrived before check in time. Our room was 2 twin beds as requested, and was an L shaped room which worked out perfectly for my mum and I. Bear in mind this is an old historical building so the hallways are narrow and the rooms are creaky! All facilities worked well, shower was hot and toiletries fully stocked. The windows opened but only from the top and not fully so the room did get slightly stuffy in the sun. Please also note they take a £50 refundable deposit upon check in which was not confirmed prior to stay. I am still awaiting this being returned to my credit card. I will however stay here again if I’m in the area.

Great staff and location. The room was reasonably clean though one twin had marks on the sheet before use. The beds were really comfortable though. We couldn't get the shower to warm up past lukewarm which was disappointing.

The location is fabulous with the tube a 2 minute walk away. Kensington gardens walking distance too. The bed was comfy and breakfast had so much choice and was delish!

+ centrally located, close to tube station - no slippers offered - coffee machine was not working. One morning they offered us complimentary coffee. They changed the machine during the last day after many relevant suggestions.

It was all fairly ok!
A Warren of rooms and corridors with a massive number of 'direction signs'. Very good friendly efficient staff. Room standard is 'basic' but clean. If you're doing a one night'er it's OK. You get what you are prepared to pay for! Great Central location within walking distance from the underground. Overall, 2.5 ☆'s

Coffee machine in room was fiddly. Not great. Packet coffee would be better plus biscuits would be nice.

Room very tiny and my one problem is the mirror was on bathroom door and I like to sit and put makeup and do my hair which I could not do here.
