Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBreakfast.
Location excellent although you can hear tube/metro noise in bedroom on first floor. Room very good shower excellent, products, shampoo etc superb. All in white and so careful maintenance required. Bar excellent, live music venue, excellent, staff excellent. Breakfast not that great, OK but limited to boiled eggs, pre boiled?! Needs a review. However overall really good fun hotel.

NetherlandsThe only minor thing missing for me was a fitness center in the hotel, or better yet an agreement with a nearby gym for guests to use the facilities during their stay.
I love their philosophy of "smart luxury" or whatever term they used. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were quite large and comfortable by typical London standards, the wifi was free and worked well to take a few work calls, and the lounge area was welcoming and cool. Despite being very busy, it was not too loud, albeit this was a mid week stay. I particularly liked the "galley" concept they had on each floor with free coffee and tea rather than take up space in every room with a kettle and coffee machine. Much more sustainable! Oh and the bar makes interesting delicious cocktails -- not your typical stuffy boring hotel bar. Location is fantastic -- 3 minutes walking from Waterloo train / underground station, about 20 minutes walking to cross the Thames into Covent Garden, and the Lower Marsh market outside during the day with interesting street food options was an unexpected bonus. The only minor thing missing for me was a fitness center in the hotel, or better yet an agreement with a nearby gym for guests to use while staying there. I would definitely stay at the Ruby Lucy again!

Kazakhstanif it could be little bit lower price, but London is not cheap anyway)
Location, clean room, enough for one absolutely. 2 Marshall speakers for my music. wash sink at entrance, tea 24/7 at the floor, overall cleanliness and design. but first of all location close to subway, all sightseeing, city bike hire, and lots of variety food options on Lower Marsh walking street where hotel situated.

United KingdomI would appreciate staff not walking into my room when I am there. There was a knock on the door and immediately the door was opened. This is unacceptable. You need to leave time to reply before you open the door.
Everything was fine.

United States1. Unable to adjust room thermostat to make room cooler! 2. While it is great to have option for ecofriendly 3 day cleaning - wastebaskets need emptying every day... 3. Selected (nice) brand of Shower Gel has very short nozzle so only way to get the gel on the shower puff iis by waiting for it to drip slowly down the bottle.-
Location is perfect for travel to O2 on Jubilee Line. Wonderful bar for women friendly meetings.

United KingdomA fridge and tea/coffee facilities in the rooms would have been nice but definitely not essential. I noticed the coffee station next to the lifts when I was leaving which I wasn't aware of before, so flagging this to guests would be great as it's a nice touch given the lack of kettles in the rooms.
The rooms were very clean and comfortable - bigger than expected and had everything I needed for a one night stay. Staff on arrival and check-out were exceptionally friendly and helpful. It was great knowing that the bar was 24 hours meaning someone would always be available to speak to. I also really appreciated that they explicitly did not try to upsell breakfast at check-in, and instead recommended trying out other local options. I would not hesitate to stay again as the value for money (relative to other London properties) and comfort was great. I have paid much more for far worse accommodation in London so Ruby Lucy was a great find.

New ZealandI had a do not disturb sign on the door, as I was exhausted from travelling and wanted to sleep in but a staff member did walk into my room to clean it. That upset me as I was in bed, and didn't receive an apology from the cleaner.
Good sized rooms, I loved the different areas you could sit as well with a coffee or downstairs at the pub, awesome vibe

United KingdomLack of storage in bedroom. we lived out of cases
We stayed here because it was close to South Bank and The Royal Festival Hall. We were in London for our son!s graduation. We were able to walk to the Royal Festival Hall where this event was held. We had a great day and afterwards we enjoyed street food out in Lower Marsh and that evening got a handy tube from Waterloo to Leicester Square to see The Mousetrap at St Martin’s Theatre. We also walked across Waterloo Bridge past Whitehall up to Horse Guards round St James’s Park up The Mall to Buckingham Palace and back across Westminster Bridge The Hiuses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and back to Ruby Lucy Hotel. Just 15000 steps!! Amazing location to stay! Highly recommended!! We will stay here again. Very friendly low key yet everything you need. Staff are lovely. Genuinely friendly and cocktail list and lunch menu really good. Not overly expensive for location. Definitely recommend!!
