The set up is amazing, very well thought through. No other shepherds huts, just yourselves! The inner meadow is enclosed so the dog had an absolute birthday romping in the grass.. we could just see her ears bouncing about and a tail wagging ferociously! I loved the feeling of being off grid although there was ample gas and electric. I was aware there was no WiFi which was part of the plan to get my teenager off their mobile and into a good book instead. The views are just stunning, real tranquility. The hosts were lovely.. they were at the end of the phone if needed but left you to it completely, they obviously lived near by but you couldn’t see any other properties from the hut.. total peace and quiet. The bed was also very comfortable.

The property was totally off grid, with water from a bore hole and electric from a solar panel and wind turbine. The view are amazing and its so peaceful, a great place to reconnect.

Loved it! The hut is really comfortable, has been well thought-out and has everything you need. The location's amazing, really quiet and secluded with gorgeous views out over the countryside towards the coast. It was lovely to sit outside with a glass of wine and watch the sunset next to the firepit. Our German Shepherd loved it too, he barely came inside the whole weekend - he was really happy just to nap in the grass or sit and watch the birds! The owners were lovely, they had the hut ready for us before our check-in time and were very quick to answer a couple of queries I had. Will definitely be back!

Ideal for a quiet and relaxing getaway! some great walks on the coastline about a 10min drive away and only about 25 min to Bude. The hut is very well built clean and tidy and the wood burner heated it up lovely! The shower got nice and hot too! Probably shouldn't say this as I would quite like to go back but its incredibly good value for money compared to what else is on offer in Devon! Perfect for people that prefer to be away from people and relax with a beer by the fire pit

That the break was too short! It's worth noting you need to be a bit nimble to go us the steps to the bedroom area.

Well we loved the quietness, the concept of being off grid and the simplicity. The views are just stunning and the hosts are fantastic. Would love to have some time out here again. Loved the bbq and firepits we had. Even though we were here during the heat (really) hot heatwave, later in the week we were a little chilly we made use of the wood burner. That baby kicks out some heat!

EVERYTHING WAS FABULOUS! That really is no overstatement! From the moment I booked the hosts were amazing. I booked this as a surprise birthday present for my partner and I bombarded them with so many questions to work out logistics, what to cook, where to go out for dinner, parking, everything you can think of and they were so approachable and friendly and gave amazing detail and recommendations (The Old Smithy pub was lush!) The facilities completely exceeded expectations, the shower has more pressure than my own at home and they even supplied an iPhone charger, that's just a few examples. We fell in love with the work of art they have created and it's given us inspiration for our own build - who wants to buy bricks and water when you can live in something as stunning as this! We can't wait to come back!
