Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThere was quite a few cobwebs around the hut (otherwise very clean)
We thought the hut was so lovely, the area was quiet and it felt lovely and private. Loved the facilities and the host was so helpful.

United KingdomNothing at all. They’ve really done a good job!
Every little detail has been considered and everything is of a very good quality. For such a small space it’s very functional and there’s been a lot of care taken to design the space, and equip it with everything you need to eat and rest and feel comfortable. It’s really quite a lovely surprise.

Lovely place and location to stay. Beautifully converted. Pretty much everything you need is provided. Very nice outdoor space with BBQ and fire pit. Hot tub a bonus. Great location for cycling. Easy to get to main cycle paths. Very good selection of pubs nearby. Would definitely come back.

United KingdomThe only thing I would pick on was that the hot tub wasn't covered so we couldn't use it as it was raining heavily. A simple gazebo would solve the problem but in summer months it would be perfect.
The hut was cute, cosy and very well equipped. The hosts thought about every single detail. We had a champagne and basket of food on arrival and in the morning we were greeted by horses just outside the hut. Beautiful scenery Plus, we could take our dog which was a bonus.

United KingdomOnly slight downfall was the frequent power cuts and lack of outdoor lighting of an evening. Only one set of fairy lights worked and when the power kept going we felt like we were a bit of a pain having to say something. Was a little awkward trying to get out of the hot tub in the pitch black. Can't fault anything else though, we had fresh logs and firelighters the next day. One thing, maybe pre-book taxis if you need one as they seem a bit sought after in the area
It was great, nice and secluded, friendly helpful staff, on hand when needed but didn't pester or hover. The breakfast hamper was a nice touch especially as my friend is coeliac and we had gluten free bread. The kitchen was stocked with tea, coffee, sugar, milk, butter and even marshmallows and choc digestives. There was plenty of loo roll too which isn't always a given...

United KingdomNo welcome on arrival. Non of the twinkle lights hung up worked apart from the lights around the hottub which were hooked to the mains. We only knew to turn these on after we were told from havingn to ask. The switch is behind the hut, how would anyone know this without instructions? All the electrics went out on the first night! Yes this can happen and out of the owners control but their first response was- 'we understand if you want to go somewhere else' a very lazy attitude to have and did not give us reassurance that they were going to do all they could to resolve the problem. We were supplied with ambient lighting but only after we suggested this and we had to make sure they took our food from the fridge so it would not go off. Very reactive and not proactive. They did contact their electrician but they could not come out until 11 the next day. This time turned into after 11 and then not until around 1 30ish they turned up. My husband and I kept having to ask for updates from them as we had gone out for the day and had concerns of what to do if it did not get fixed. They did offer for us to stay in the smaller hut but were not willing to clean it straight away and if we wanted a refund we must go through booking.com. The attitude and lack of checking in on us, considering the situation just made us feel unwelcome and an inconvenience. Minimal to no information or instructions for how to use things. Items such as the hob were pretty self explanatory however the instructions on how to use the hotub were rubbish. It states to put three eco blocks in but it turns out that after having to ask for help, there is a specific way of placing them - so why is this not in the instructions? The gap to get into the shower is ridiculous, it is super small. If you were pregnant or bigger you literally could not use the shower. The bed was very uncomfortable with springs sticking out.
The location, views, widlldlife, and the style of the hut was pretty and you was supplied with a breakfast hamper, milk and other necessities such as disposable flip flops for the hot tub When you asked for help you were provided with it but only on a reactive basis.
