Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanySpace in the shower / toilet room was very narrow, after taking a shower the area around the toilet was very wet. A shower curtain would certainly help.
Very helpful staff when no storage was free in the room.

SpainThe room was really small, the charging sockets in the bed were only the old usb, so with usb-C cables it didn't work, towels were not included, the bathroom in the room was really small and if it was occupied the showers (if there were any) were not in the same floor, only one bathroom per floor, small facilities in general. You had to bring your own lock for the room locker.
curtains in the bed were good for a little bit more of intimacy, staff were great and friendly, there were lockers for leaving luggage before check-in, overall clean, great location and good price.

United KingdomOn the advertisement, it states that there are secure lockers however in my room, we did have lockers but they were not secured with any lock. Also, the bedding is not completely changed after each stay, you have a bedsheet that is clean but the duvet covers and pillow cases are reused.
The beds were comfortable and the addition of the curtains was very welcomed as you had a level of privacy. Check in and out was also very simple and the staff were nice.

United KingdomThe room was cold, everywhere had nice heating except the room. Beds were okay, a bit uncomfortable but you don't expect comfort in a hostel.
The hostel is easy to find, conveniently in the middle of Camden and well maintained. The lounge area is really nice, well heated and big enough that you can have a small corner to yourself. The kitchen is comprehensive. The staff were nice, I didn't have any issue.

EstoniaAs mentioned in other reviews, shower was quite small. You need to make your own bed. The bed seemed comfortable, but in the morning I had some back pain. There is a lamp, USB A and USB C outlets next to each bed, however USB C does not work. It is not a big minus, but this hostel didn't give a sense of community. People are doing their own things without communicating with each other much.
Very nice and big common space which includes lounge, kitchen and garden with a smoking area outside. Bathroom was very clean, good temperature and pressure of water in the shower. Breakfast staff was very cute and seemed friendly. Good location next to the northern tube line, many supermarkets around.

AustraliaA communal bathroom would have been nice where there are a few toilets and showers. I understand it’s hard in a property so small. But when the bunks are so small you can’t sit up and get changed and waiting for 5 others to be in the bathroom there’s not a private area to get changed. It would also be good to have a small shelf in the bunk
Self catering facilities were excellent even though we didn’t end up needing it. The common areas were also super spacious and welcoming. The curtain on each bunk was fabulous and was the main reason to book this hostel.

United KingdomI was put on the top of 3 bunks, slight annoyance getting up. Street outside can be quite noisy given that it is Camden - you'll probably be woken up by garbage trucks in the morning. Bathroom in rooms is quite small so if youre the last person to wake up in the morning, youre going into a very wet room. Finally some of the door pads are quite annoying to use. Can take a few times before you get it right and get in.
Location and price is perfect. Curtains on the bunks is a good touch. Big common area. A very mixed group of people staying so I didnt feel old being surrounded bt early twenty somethings.

United KingdomThe pod beds were quite stuffy, there was an air vent (I think) at the back that didn’t seem to be working. The door lock on the bedroom was really fiddly to enter a (very long) code into.
Really good prices for such a central location, the pod beds are a great idea. Everything was clean and well-maintained, there was a good selection of breakfast foods, and the staff were really friendly.
