Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandBathroom in room is tiny. I stayed in the 6 bed,, it's literally two 3-bed bunks, which means the bottom bunk is on the floor. I wouldnt want to get either the bottom or top bunk. Power plug didn't work by my bed.
Super friendly staff. Great location super close to Camden Town underground. Didnt actually need to use the app that the email got me to download. Curtains on bed.

NetherlandsI stayed in a 6 bed female dorm. The bunkbeds consisted out of the three separate beds with a curtain for privacy which was quite cozy. However, I personally ended up leaving the hostel with a concussion. The ceilings dividing the beds are really low and made out of IRON bars.. I bumped my head quite a few times, once even so hard that I almost broke my teeth and I’m pretty sure that is the one that also caused my concussion. I’m 167cm. So wouldn’t recommend the dorms to anyone taller than 160cm.. Would be wonderful if the hostel installed rubber or something around the irons bars - to make sleeping in those bunkbeds more safe..
Camden is a great place for a night out. The hostel is located on 5 min walking distance of the heart of Camden Town. The staff were very kind and quick to help.

United KingdomThe sheets weren't particularly comfortable and bedding was pretty thin for a cold winter night. But I slept well enough, and it was good value for money
The dorm had good facilities, like each bed had a curtain, light, charging point, and there were plenty of lockers and a bathroom in the dorm

Sweden- this is not a “smart” hostel. nothing is smart at all. The key codes for the entrance/room is sort of old school and not hygienic post covid era. smart would be using your phone to unlock the doors. also the lockers in the room are the old type that requires a padlock. so I’m not sure which part of the hostel is “smart” exactly. - the mattresses are so thin. you’d get back aches especially if you are on the lowest Bunk level. extremely uncomfortable even if it’s a hostel. - room is small/tight and stuffy. no ventilation - there’s no wall socket by the bed. just a single USB port.
- central location - the friendly Indian receptionist - lounge & kitchen area is spacious and decent - breakfast - storage space

United KingdomThe code I was given for my room didn't work (fortunately had downloaded the Goki app so just used that). Staff very polite but lots of assumptions that I knew where everything was , especially when it came to breakfast, and needing my own lock for the lockers (spotted I could have bought one on the way out but would have been good to offer it to me). Bathroom was clean but lack of ventilation meant it was rather stinky this morning. Only minor details though given the cost!
Excellent value for money, compact room (especially the ensuite shower/toilet room) but not hideously so. Privacy curtain on bed, USB charging spot and light, with enough hight to sit up meant it didn't feel too "dorm" like. Staff were friendly, and the light breakfast decent enough value for the price. Was worried about noise in a 10 bed mixed dorm but only heard two people coming back, and they quickly quietened down when they realised everyone else were asleep.

BrazilThey just give you a bed sheet, i think they could give also a pillow and duvet covers. The shower gets really wet and dirty during the day. But this are not like major problems for me
The bed space is big enough to sit and have your stuff with you, the spaces in the hostel are very cool and well equipped, very nice staff.

SpainAs a negative aspect to say that at 11 the light in the room goes out and it is a little uncomfortable.
The place is in the Candem neighborhood with many services around and very close to the market. it's very clean. It is a hostel for young people although it is also very good for families in private rooms. It has no elevator, for us it was not a problem but it is an issue to take into account.

FranceThe size of the bathroom for 10 people is pretty ridiculous but thankfully i wasn't too impacted as i didn't wake up early in the mornings. The extra toilets on the other floors were put to good use! I wish that the commun area in the basement was more comfortable so i didn't use it at all.
The cosy bed with a good curtain that blocks the light and make it like an intimate pod :) Excellent position of course and the most attractive price you can imagine for Camden. Very good pubs and restaurants all around! I can't recommend enough: The Taste of Siam (thai restaurant) & The Fabler Bakery Camden (excellent english breakfast & eggs benedicts, nicest staff!)

United KingdomI do not want to say too much about negatives, because these guys do not deserve any negative feedback at all, all I will say is that the beds could have been a little bigger and more choice in the breakfasts would be nice. That is just a suggestion. Breakfast was available, but only coffee did for me, I do not eat toast and I hate cornflakes! Muesli would have been nice. Apart from that, nothing else really.
It was a nice, quiet place to stay for just the one night. I went for one thing, which turned out in the end to let me down, unable to do it, but other options and places to eat were always available, so I treated myself to a hot dog and pizza to recover from the disappointment and it worked. The good thing about the thing I went for which let me down was I saved money! The bed was a bit low for me and I wasn't sure if I would sleep okay. I did actually doze on and off so not too bad and I suffered a bit of cramp, but no fault of the hostel. It is actually a youth hostel really after all and I am surprised I was all right to stay, but one night is one night and maybe I look young. It was a decent place to stay for what I went for, even though my original plan was disappointed, I had other options. Worth it any way.
