Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLiked the overall cosy ambience. Remote control flame fire was cool. Right in the centre of town. Nice outside place to sit. Welsh cakes and milk on arrival was a nice touch. Lovely feel to the place.

United KingdomIt can't be helped but, with the bedroom and living room both adjoining the main road, there's traffic noise if you have a window open for ventilation. On the other hand, I noticed too late that there was a fan provided, which could be an alternative in hot weather.
Really well equipped and characterful apartment in centre of Llanfyllin. Beautifully furnished and comfortable living room. Owner helpful and responsive.

United KingdomNot a complaint, just a warning if you cannot walk, there is a small step into the shower. There was a small problem with the accessibility in the shower, which as soon as I pointed it out to the hosts said they will remedy it asap. Please check with them directly if you need the shower to be completely accessible. It was perfect for able bodies.
Lovely house, it was very homely. It had everything you could need. I really enjoyed cooking in the lovely kitchen. Appreciated the recycling separators. Lovely warm bathroom. Comfy beds, even the pull down sofa bed. The house is very accessible, there is a small step to the entrance but the scooter managed it easily enough- yes there is enough space for a medium sized mobility scooter all the way through the house and pasage way, entrances to the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom are flat. Wider gate for the scooter/wheelchair. There is a small step into the shower and a seat, handles for the toilet. There is a step and a slope to the lounge, but we didn't need to use it as the rest of the house was comfy enough. Loved the outside area with comfy seats and shelter from the pouring rain. The tea, coffee, milk and lovely Welsh cakes were very welcoming. The perfect hosts checked in to make sure we were ok, great communication. I really didn't want to leave and we are already planning our return for next year hopefully.

We had a lovely stay. We were four adults and a dog. The house was spotless and it was very cozy to spend the evenings in. Had a full size kitchen with everything that you need and more to prepare tasty meals. There is a shop down the road where you can buy anything that you need. Parking was also easy as there is a large carpark. We felt there was more to see and enjoy in the village but we only stay a couple of nights so we will definitely consider coming back so we can fully explore the area.

United KingdomFor awareness - there is no parking associated with the flat - but there is a free carpark across the road beside Spar where you can park overnight. The flat is enclosed around the back of the buildings so there is no 'view' as such from the front seats. Some of the rooms are naturally dark (although there is lots of lighting so that is not a problem)
The rooms are large with a pleasant inside/outside 'conservatory' space and separate outside seating on the access lane (the layout of rooms is eccentric but not inconvenient). The living room in particular is very large and stylishly decorated/furnished. The kitchen is very well provisioned and the wifi strong and reliable. The windows keep outside sound low (we didn't notice any road noise).

Beautiful quirky property. Spotlessly clean. Everything that we needed (& more!). Toasty warm. Comfortable. Loads of character...photos really do not do it justice! Ideal location in the middle of town. Large Spar over the road, first class chippy down the road, and a brilliant Chinese takeaway next door, along with a couple of pubs and a handful of interesting small shops Llanfyllin is a small town that has loads of character and history. The owner had thought of everything that we may need. A perfect break away for us. Thank you, Judi, for a wonderful stay...fydda ni'n ol, am siwr! Marian a Mark

MaltaJudy and Michael were helpful in informing us about means of transportation to arrive at the accommodation. We accepted their offer to pick us up at Welshpool train station. Upon arrival, we quickly fell in love with the spacious apartment and the comfort it offers. Evenings were well spent in the living room. The kitchen was well equipped with utensils. Accommodation is located at the heart of the village. One can find all the necessary shops at walking distance. We will visit again in the future.
