Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomI was satisfied with all the facilities
Room was nicely decorated, lovely bathroom and a really comfy bed. Parking was not good inadequate space on the car park for the hotel. However, after a bit of searching I was able to find somewhere to park a short distance away. Breakfast was very good and in a lovely setting.

United KingdomThe Parking was not good. On site parking is 3hrs FREE (Hence everyman and his dog uses it to go shopping )and £10 for 24 hours. Trouble is if you are a guest of the hotel there is no designated Hotel parking only. Advised to park on a side street, which we eventually found, but arriving on Sat (Market Town) afternoon, lets just say it was challenging.
There was a wedding on while we stayed. So we knew to expect some late night noise, its not the hotels fault, boisterous noisy guests. And the screaming in the corridors to each other was not appreciated, but that's the guests, not the hotels fault. Room was quiet, a bolster supplied to block the light under the door,gr8 idea. The standard of the finish in the room and bathroom was top notch. Great shower, very clean. Bathroom doors need a bottom protector to stop water damage from walk in shower. All the staff we spoke with were very very friendly and polite .Breakfast was one of the best i have ever had, tasty with local produce. 11 out of 10.Comfy bed....but it would benefit from being a larger bed. I 'think' its a king size and that a 'queen 'size is larger...if that's correct we would have prefeed a queen size. just cos I'm a bloke.....a big bloke, wide ;-).We would still come again, absolutely loved it and would ask if there is a room that would have that longed for larger bed. Very close to town centre and on site bar, restaurant, food hall, everyman theatre. Will prob go back with friends for a weekend.

United KingdomThere is no closet but a rack with hangers that barely move so it’s difficult to hang your clothes. There was a function in the Bistro and the music and chatter was very loud, resonating through much of the hotel.
The room was spacious and the hotel had a modern, trendy feel. It is located in a lovely little town with nice shops nearby.

United KingdomPersonally would have liked a coffee machine in the room. Would be good if breakfast was included in the stay.
Good hotel for the price paid. Rooms are pretty standard, nothing special but comfortable and clean so can't complain - great base for exploring the other facilities on site and the town. Quick check in/out procedure and friendly, helpful staff.

United KingdomNo heating in the room the radiator didn't work, pillow's were really thin not enough hanging space for winter clothes and the grout in the shower needs attention Would be good if the breakfast restaurant stayed open later than 9.30am even until 10am would be good although we were only a minute from the food hall it would have been nice just to nip downstairs
The location was great, toiletries were a nice touch, good variety of tea and coffee. Shower was really good large head and powerful. All staff including the cleaning team were polite and friendly.

United KingdomDecor was weird - the wallpaper is literally the worst I have ever seen and its everywhere! However this is obviously personal taste! The sidelights were very dim indeed so the lighting option was full ceiling lights or nearly dark - could do with an in-between stage. Could hear other guests walking around/talking but this didn't go on late or disrupt me too much. It is an old building after all.
Large comfy room. Big, clean, beautiful shower room. Shower was powerful and hot. Good selection of drinks. Able to open window for some fresh air but the temperature was pretty good for me (not too hot). Check in was smooth, welcoming and helpful. Pretty quiet (especially given the location) but I stayed in the week for work so I'm not sure how quiet it would be on a weekend. Found the parking very straightforward even though they obviously have issues with it.

United KingdomExtra charge for orange juice and it wasn’t cheap. Never been charged extra before and thought if going for full breakfast should have been included. Also asked for hot milk for coffee but advised not possible. Wouldn’t have too difficult to warm in microwave

United KingdomI think I was expecting more for breakfast. We paid £10 each for a fry up and I know we could have got better in the area. It was not clear if the £10 also gave you the opportunity for the cereal, yoghurt and fruit out which would have made it worth it. If it is included in the cost it should be made more obvious.
The room was very stylish and a very good size. It was perfect for our needs. Set in the centre of clitheroe made it easy to get to everything. They also allow early check in and check out which really helped for what we needed it for.

United KingdomMinor issues but bathroom had a towel radiator and extractor fan but neither worked, so wet towels in the morning and very steamy bathroom after a shower.
Great old cotton mill with an interesting history and brilliant conversion. Lots of facitlities, the food hall with it's cafe's was amazing and the bar with 42 hand pumps was awesome. The hotel bisto was an experience with the lavish decor, breakfast was good. We ate at the Emporium (just up the road and same owners) and likewise the building conversion was well done and the decor really interesting, the food was good too. Everything here is on a very large scale in contrast to Clitheroe which is a small town, but a great place to stay.
