Lovely country house in the middle of nowhere, but still fairly close to the M74. I need quiet and darkness to sleep well, and this was perfect for that.

As usual great location and stay Bramble the dogs loves it here...always question why he does not live there...maybe a dog in residence.....the two black labs could allow him to share tye facilities!

Beautiful place stunning grounds. Comfortable big bed. Clean and lovely room and bathroom. The shower was fantastic. Stunning views from every window. Excellent food Lovely bar Games room too. Every member of staff were lovely friendly. Jenny is so lovely made it an extra special stay.saw to our every need. Had the pleasure of meeting her son, who works Sunday evening, A lovely young man too. We are going back hopefully this weekend and many others in the future.

Nothing to dislike.

Everything was amazing including the ambience / setting and helpful staff. A truly magical experience in a Palladian mansion set in splendid countryside and magnificent gardens. Delicious breakfast was a bonus. Sumptuous bed and large walk in shower added to the experience.

There was nothing that I could fault.

What did I Like? Everything! Springkell is everything you want from an honest country house: understated, real, welcoming, warm and comfortable. If you have a dog (we don't), it is equally welcoming. A little off the beaten track is a detraction from greater success for the Springkell but well worth the find. Food is fresh, seasonal and both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious. All the staff are very pleasant, friendly and helpful (cheers Jennifer and team). Communication is superb and detailed. The interior is beautiful without pomp, tasteful and well maintained. One can imagine this to be a superb setting for weddings and large family events, not just for descerning guests. It's a dilemma; for selfish reasons, I want Springkell to remain as that 'hidden gem' but I want them to do well for a long time. If you hadn't guessed yet, I will most definately be back, on a regular basis. Thank you

A wonderful stately home with a lovely ambience even if somewhat genteelly aged. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Dog friendly with lots of good walks in the adjacent parkland.

Honestly no complaints whatsoever. We may have been lucky to stay on a Monday night. We certainly received a fair price for our room.

Very impressive building. Interiors are "grand." Large high ceilinged rooms. I do not know much about this type of architecture but they say it is Palladian style. Easy to see why people have weddings there. Evening meal was excellent and breakfast was very good. Beautiful grounds. Well maintained building considering the cost it must be to maintain it.

Would be better if they had a proper parking area and few biscuits in the room along side the tea and coffee sets.

The hotel room and the bathroom were large and clean. The breakfast was fantastic! You could have full Scottish with haggis, potato scones, hash brown,sausage,bacon, mushrooms, tomato and choice of egg!! Beautiful views around the hotel. Would love to stay there again.
