Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Can be very noisy, mattress on bunks rock hard not comfy, new triple bunks are very noisy and shift every time someone moves.
Great location, close to transport, curtains on beds were really good to have, plenty of space in room.

The number of toilets is a bit insufficient. In fact, the sanitation management is extremely poor. The trash cans in the toilets are full for several days and no one cleans them.

I didn’t like how someone else was sleeping on my bed and after i entered he just shifted to another random bed. That was not hygienic practice at all and the receptionist should mention this rule to everyone who is making an entry. I didn’t like to occupy the bed where a sweaty big man was already sleeping. Just because i was too tired I skipped complaining. Also the stairs were narrow n steep and there was not even a proper glass to drink water from. Very tiny common space with only 3 or 4 stools so you have got no space to even eat your dinner if those stools are occupied. Mostly older men were staying in the hostel. Didn’t see a young crowd

Really nice place in the heart of Hammersmith. I enjoy the bed in 8 beds room, comfy mattress, electrical plugs, plus USB A sockets by each bed :) and a little light to, toilet and shower was OK and clean with extra body bath soap and generally place was clean with friendly atmosphere. Very nice pub/cinema like huge screen! watching sports like formula 1 and football. To top the cake with the cherry, there was a disco DJ club until 2am with good music and loads of people dancing :)

Booking.com should include an item for all properties that tells if the place accommodates people with mobility disabilities . St Christopher's doesn't have escalators or elevators. I have hip problems and even though I told them, they assigned me a room on the fourth floor,, also they only have some of the showers out of service and the only bathroom not so clean

Dirty room, very dusty. Mold in the loo, the sink wasn't fastened to the wall and the shower didn't work. Oh, and the toilets papper seemed to have been made by cotton candy. Soft, for sure, but completely useless.

It was a little loud at night and the room became hot.
The property was relocated right next to the tube station which was very convenient for travel.

Firstly, there aren't enough showers for the amount of people, leading to large queues in the morning. It may help to subdivide some of the larger showering facilities. A person also stole my bed the first night and I had to switch rooms as a result, rather than the low-budget Goldilocks being kicked out. Furthermore, I'm a decent sleeper in most noisy conditions, but for lighter sleepers, the place is located above a noisy pub with lots of club nights at the weekend. You have been warned.
Whilst this place is just a stone's throw away from Hammersmith Station and located around a large number of shops and pubs, it offers a franchise-focussed atmosphere. Showers were decent and there were sufficient amenities like a microwave, study room, and a large pub. The beds were comfy and offered enough plugs and sockets, and also contained convenient storage bins with secure locking. Additionally, the staff assisted me with any issues and were always on call when needed.

The common area is a tiny room that fits three people sitting down at stools and no room for anything else at all. There is no kitchen to speak of; there is a microwave, disposable utensil, coffee and tea that a bed and toilet is all that the hostels provides.

The water fountain was so close to the bin which attracted fruit flies around the fountain.
It’s a good location from major bus stops with close proximity to restaurants. It also has a nice bar downstairs
