Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThis was far from a quiet room, curtains were open due to the preferences of others and there appeared to be very little respect from a number of the other guests. Towels are not provided as matter of course which I misinterpreted from the answers by the hosts to questions on Booking.com in advance as thought I might need one. They can be hired for a cost from the bar. The shower 'room' is tiny and there is an issue with water 'flooding' the dry area so you have to be comfortable with the drying and dressing preferences of your room mates or have an empty room when you shower to exit without being reasonably dressed when leaving the shower. One last thing reference price / value for money, it appears cheaper and more beneficial (free welcome drink and other perks) to book direct rather than via Booking.com also appeared that the price via this website went down in the days preceding my stay. As a result if you haven't booked direct then keep watching this site for availability and book last minute.
Very well located for the gig venue I was attending, great staff and being above a bar helped with the pre gig build up

NetherlandsI can't really think of anything I dislike. If you want the latest of the latest, don't go there, it's not a new building. But they keep it clean, and whenever there's a problem, staff immediately acts on it.
It'd be tough to think of a better place to stay whenever I am in the Camden area of London : St. Cristopher Camden is my go-to location when it comes to overnight stays. For a few extra quid there's also a very decent breakfast option, which I always use.

Hungary- As all St. Christophers Inns, this place too has a rickety relationship with showers: for some reason, it is not possible to get warm water in any of these lovely hostels. - The guest on the middle bunk bed below me kept tossing and turning and loudly snoring at all times, and made sure to wake me up with his non-stop squirming every time I would fall asleep, even just for a few seconds.
- I was assigned the top bunk bed so it was possible to sit up without bumping my head which is in itself an achievement. - There were curtains on some parts of the bed which ensured some privacy.

Hungary- don't think I managed to figure out the secret of how to successfully operate the shower that only gave cold water and nearly flooded the whole tiny cabin/bathroom - wish I could have sat up in the bed without bumping my head - anyone who decides to arrive during weekend (and may have an evening program that they wish to attend) has to be aware of that check-in that takes place at a bar will not be a picnic in the park and literally every random stranger will get served before the guest with the paid reservation
- Good location - nice atmosphere - mini-curtains on beds to ensure privacy

United KingdomI had a top bunk in a 9 bed room, the overall room was really good, but I’m over 6 foot and going up and down my bunks ladder to get to the top bunk, was a bit annoying, because the little steps if you like, are so thin and actually a little painful, on the soles of your feet, as you had to be a little careful and slow at points. I think due to this hostel’s slightly smaller size, it is naturally a little quieter, but a few more group activities would be great (they do offer these, but only really once a day).
I’ve stayed at the London Bridge St Christopher’s and a few other St Christopher’s inns, around Europe, but this was my first time staying at the Camden branch, it was a little different this one, but still really good! I liked the Camden location, it has heaps of restaurants, supermarkets, bars (plus the Belushi bar and restaurant itself) very locally, a really cool club just down the road called KOKO, its very close to Regent’s Park and you can get around London very quickly, as it’s so near a couple of Northern line train stops. My bed was comfy, with a good charging socket, light, en-suite shower and a useful sink, in the room and good roommates from all around the world, who were good to chat to on NYE and the following day. The bar seemed fun and the staff were very welcoming, but this hostel’s Belushi’s bar area, was a little smaller than the other Belushi’s bars around Europe and I’m sure can get busy and have a really good vibe going, but seems a bit more chill than the others and was pretty quiet, when I was there during the day (no bad thing, as you get your food served fast), but if your looking to meet new people, there only around in the evening. Fun chill out area downstairs beneath the bar, where I got chatting to a couple of different groups each day, that was fun!

RussiaNo kitchen was the only bummer. Nevertheless, I made sure to wolf down enough of the buffet breakfast that easily lasted until dinner time. With 10 people in one spacious room, the chances of that "one", who snores louder than a bear, or the party animal that walks in a 3am stumbling around, are significantly higher. The angry Jamaican lady and her fake as wig she couldn't even put on correctly....someone please give her a hug for me...she needs a hug.
Room and bathroom were clean everyday. Buses metro supermarket and library right next to the place. Breakfast was superb (bigups to the Polish chef). Staff was awesome (bigups to the African, Portuguese, and Phillipino brothers sharing their knowledge on how to get around London (aka dodging expensive train rides with more affordable options) and the 2 ladies as well . Finally, the area the hostel is situated in, Camden, is live; totally changed my perspective on London and Britain in general.

United Kingdom9 beds in a room was too cramped, even for the said price. There was only 1 washroom on the floor. Despite checking in online, there was a lot of waiting time at the reception for both checkin and checkout as the person allotted for reception kept going away for small tasks or helping with the bar.
Location is good. Facility was clean. There was a common area with TV, movies and games.

I've not stayed in a hostel for over 10 years so was a bit hesitant. Value for money - excellent. Friendly staff and a great location - really close to Electric Ballroom. I stayed in the room for 6 and as it was mid-week everyone was asleep. The room had a separate bathroom and toilet, and the bed had a dedicated socket so you could charge your phone. There's a cage under the bed where you can lock your belongings - so recommend bringing a lock (you can buy one for £4). You can also "rent" a towel for £5 but you get £2 back. Overall very pleasant.
