The staff were wonderful. The room was a good size and bed very comfortable and a good size bathroom. The breakfast was good and the restaurant was excellent and fantastic produce and a very good choice of dishes. Also a lovely pub with a good selection of drinks. Booked again that's how good the place is.

Fabulous overnight stay in a beautiful large bedroom with a spotlessly clean bathroom with a bath and walkin shower. Great welcome from Chloe and enjoyed the warmth of not just a roaring log fire in the bar but also the hospitable locals. Breakfast was superb, local quality produce and served by attentive chef.

Would find it hard to fault this Location as everything was fantastic. If I was to make one comment, the only thing would be that it would be nice to have a blanket in the room as we stayed when we had snow and it was a little bit cold at night.

The sofa beds in the room were not comfortable. They look lovely but there’s no mattress so they weren’t nice to sleep on.

This is a beautiful property with so much character! We loved the log burning fires, traditional decor and our beautiful room! The food was superb and service was excellent. The restaurant area is lovely and my son was thrilled with the pool table in the lounge area! Our room was quite cool in the evening as the radiator thermostat had been turned down prior to us staying but the owner very quickly sorted a fan heater for us which soon warmed the room up. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

Being very picky the only criticism I would have was the water pressure in the shower.

nothing the only thing i arrived when it was dark so the 2 doors where a little confusing you had to go through the bar to check in just a bit better signage .

The food was of good quality and the chef had some different things on the menu which was refreshing all cooked to a higher standard than normal pub food rooms where really comfy

I've stayed here a couple of times and found our room this time was a bit more tired and dated than previous stays.

However I love the ambience of this place. Also the food is top notch and the customer service is excellent. I would defo recommend.

There was only a small storage heater working in my room ( main radiators were turned off) it was quite a cold night in November so I had to sleep in 2 layers. The bathroom floor was also very cold under foot

The entire experience at this property is second to none. The charm of the history, the setting, location and ambiance. Staff are so helpful and friendly you really do feel like a guest in someone’s warm home.

It had a very nice cosy atmosphere, room was a good size with big ensuite bathroom, which was spotless! The stuff was very helpfull and polite. Food was fantastic! I don't think I could recommend this place more to anybody. Had a great stay there.
