No chair in our room, long way yo bend from sitting on the bed when you are in your 80s.

a few bits need fixing or changing in the room , mainly in the bathroom, plastic cracked along the front of shower base and the shower head holder has been repaired with black tape , both easy and cheap to replace . no hot shower on last day sadly ,

Although parts of the property ( mainly corridors to rooms ) were tired , my room was spotless and very warm. Great view over the river too. Staff were helpful and friendly ( sorry we kept you back Jess 😂)Bar wouldn’t be complete without John !

The only disappointment was that the shower was only Luke warm no matter the time of day, definitely not a deal breaker though

A very warm welcome, the room was very clean, a good size and the bed was very comfortable. Tea making facilities were well stocked and a lovely touch was the dog box containing a towel, bowl, poo bags and a toy. We were able to take our dog everywhere with us (bar & eating area), and the staff were so lovely with him. Restaurant food was excellent, very tasty and fair prices. The included breakfast was comprehensive with a really nicely cooked hot breakfast. Location wise we found it ideal, no more than about 40minutes from Wells, Norwich, Yarmouth etc with many beaches, attractions etc much closer. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and I will stay again.

Difficult location for dog walking straight from the hotel, had to get into the car to avoid road walking

It was such a shame the restaurant and bar were closed on the evening we stayed. Luckily I found out in advance - but not via booking.com - so we could find an alternative. I think it would have made a difference to our choice of hotel if we’d been informed at the time of booking.

Very noisy untill the bar closed with a constant slamming of a door as people were constantly in and out of the pool room for cigarettes, unfortunately will not be staying here again because of this, which is a shame.

We reported, on the first full day, that our Towel radiator in bathroom was only hot at the bottom and not drying towels. Still not sorted by the time we left.

Lovely decor. Bed was enormous and very comfortable. Mid way through a refurb so a few bits weren't quite finished but didn't really affect our stay. Very friendly place, nothing to much trouble. We would definitely stay again.

Very steep stair case to bedrooms no lift,no evening meals on Sunday and Monday.
