We stayed for a wedding in the venue 3 minutes down the road. Our room was lovely and immaculate, staff were welcoming and friendly the entirety of our stay. Food here was also very very good and clearly high quality. All reasonably priced. The garden area was large and really well spaced out and clearly had a lot of thought put into it. We have recommended The Adam and Eve to family in the area as a place for guests to stay if they visit.

We genuinely liked everything.

The room was lovely and clean. The bathroom looked new. It had a huge shower. There was a TV, tea/coffee making facilities with biscuits, a fan, toiletries and towels. The breakfast was delicious, we ordered from the menu and we weren't rushed. We stayed here because we were at a wedding 20 mins away. We didn't have time to explore the area around the Adam and Eve but the drive in the area was stunning.

The water pressure was quite low and I was disappointed to have a lovely big bath but not much water to go in it .

Nice room , lovely staff from our arrival at the bar , the evening restaurant staff and staff at breakfast , all were good . Especially the young lady who seemed to be running the show on a busy bank holiday and still had time to talk to people and keep us all happy.

There was loud music playing from when we arrived at 3pm until 9pm … and then again at breakfast (not quite so loud). If you like that kind of thing this is the place for you!

The room was comfortable with a great shower. (Sadly there’s no bath option.) The evening meal and breakfast were fine. Staff were friendly and efficient. It’s a busy place so they don’t have much opportunity for personal conversation.

We were originally overcharged, until I pointed out that I had a fee that was a third less than what they had charged me, so they refunded and re-charged me the right fee. Also, The food we ate in the evening was not as described on the menu, the tomatoes were only small, and only half was given with a steak and a small flat mushroom, not a large one. The peppercorn sauce was extremely runny, more of a juice than a creamy jus. The mash was cold and everything else hot! It was dissapointing when you are being charged £30. I ordered the steak pie, which was delicious and extremely hot. Hit and miss I would say, depending on what you ordered. We did complain and the staff said it was due to the chefs being agency staff and only working there temporarily. We happened to be visiting the night before a market was being set up and there was a note on the bed asking us to move our car by 6:30am the next morning, when we checked in. There was CCTV and we didn't wish to move the car with expensive fishing gear away from the hotel where we couldn't see it, so we had breakfast early and moved the car by 8:00am instead. We feel they should have told us when we booked, what the score was.

On first impressions the location, staff, cleanliness, and overall ambience was great. The breakfast was also delicious.
