Full of unusual character.....as previous reviews have stated "very qurrky".....our room felt like you'd stepped back in time furnishings wise....bathroom was modern which was good. Breakfast and dinner were tasty .

This was not your typical hotel. But absolutely well worth a visit and stay. The staff were tremendous. Everything was great once you became accustomed to the place. It was great. The breakfast was great. Everything. I would thoroughly recommend it

The room was a little cramped.

The staff are so friendly and made such a fuss of my dog. It's a great location. Very near a beach The food is great. I had a very quiet room and slept like a log.

The only negative was that the service for dinner in the evening was incredibly slow. I think it was 25 mins before they even took our order. I think it was because there was a large table of people in the other room. Overall the experience was very good though.

The location was great, the room just the right size, with a lovely big window and comfortable bed. Some of the decor was a bit old maybe but everything worked well and the shower was surprisingly good. It was wonderful to find such a genuinely dog-friendly hotel too, and they really made a fuss of our dog. The food in the evening was good and the breakfast was excellent. Great price for everything and we'd definitely come back here to stay if we were in the area.

All was fine. One of our rooms was small but perfectly adequate, the other 2 were a bit larger.

There was a hairdryer in my room. Bed a standard double. Breakfast good. Staff good. Well-stocked whisky and beer bar (NB no cider). Hotel characterful. Unloading/loading of luggage was possible right outside but parking is just across the road (at the cathedral). Quiet location.

As the room was above the bar it was quite noisy. Wasn't too much of a problem going to bed late but if you wanted an early night it could be. Room fairly basic. No shampoo or shower gel in the shower.

The room was clean, the bar is quite quirky and cool for couple drinks in the evening and the breakfast was decent. It suited us for 1 night stay.

The check in time and pub opening at 4.00pm which is totally different from what we’re used to but it’s their place and you abide by their rules and we were happy with that
