Wonderful comfortable and welcoming hotel in a convenient and peaceful location

No coffee in room, shower controls very basic (only seemed to have the one setting - hot pressure washer). I have to say the staff at breakfast were not the most welcoming, in contrast to reception. Could live with that, but not for the price.

Breakfast was perfect, would be nicer starting at 0700 rather than 0730 though if travelling for work! Gorgeous grounds and rooms, and the staff were wonderful!

The hotel is really well looked after and you are made to feel welcome. Jess, in particular who works at the front desk proactively ensured my family and I who organised a last minute visit, were well looked after. It’s worth getting the breakfast with the room booking.

I chose the hotel because they had electric charging points, but they did not work, which was a mjaor disappointment. Fortunately, I was able to find somewhere else quite near which did have charging points.

Breakfast was very good. Quiet, peaceful, safe and clean location. Plenty of car parking space. Comfortable lounge with some newspapers available.

On the first evening when we had dinner we were very rushed and almost straight after our nibbles were brought out, our main courses brought out. Wrong wine bought out as well. Biscuits in room were stale and inedible.

Excellent choice of breakfast and food excellent quality and very well presented. Service very good.

Beautiful village location. We stayed in the coach house which was pet friendly- we had dog beds, dog bowls, comp dog food, dog poo bags and dog biscuits in our lovely room. Dog towels and dog hose were available in the coach house foyer. Dinner service was lovely, super friendly and food delicious- breakfast of same high standard. Staff were so helpful in telling us about local area for dog walks - will definitely return. Love this place and the attention to detail

I thought the dinner could have been served in the beautiful dining room with tablecloths etc instead of bare tables in the bar . I wondered why breakfast wasn’t included in the overall price, instead of a separate item . That seemed unusual

the room was on the small side. the description of “King Room” implies a King size bed. We do not believe it was. Only one chair meant we had to sit on the bed. This may sound “carping” which it is not intended as we enjoyed the ambience

we are in the minority here especially for this venue, we don’t fish or shoot so it’s not for everyone but appreciate its specialty

friendly staff, good atmosphere, lovely evening meal. we enjoyed the lounge with the fire too. Having EV chargers was a big plus too. Beautiful walk to the river. Love the deli!

Noise from the road dropped of later at night but started early. Room was too hot!!!

The welcome was fabulous. Nice personal touch from the owners. I had a super dinner. good wine. Lovely quiet Lounge. Small room but very comfortable bed. Big fluffy towels and lovely toiletries. The staff are very friendly.

first night (Thursday) was lovely and peaceful, unfortunately Friday night there was alot of noise- thumping and banging from I think above, but hard to tell. was through out the night so feels unlikely to be other guests throughout, but hard to know.

The excellent food was the same menu every night, it would have been nice to have some choices over the soup flavours maybe?

The staff were very attentive, and helpful, especially Sofia, Cory and Jackie (with little dog Billy), there were plenty of places to visit and great facilities for our dogs, towel’s included The food was well presented, and good portion size
