We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

IrelandThe hotel itself and the accomdaion part is very outdated, old and uncomfortable.
The staff were brilliant, the bar area has been modernised and is very nice. The food from the bar was very good aswell. Much better than expected. The staff are all lovely here and couldn't do more for you or be nicer. It's an old fashioned hotel but it's key are the staff. The staff and the bar facilities saved this review and brought it to a 6/7 out of 10 for me rather than a 2/3 rating.

AustraliaI was staying due to family betravement and wanted to be local. The staff couldn't have been more friendly. In terms of value for money and proximity to this side of the city it is a really good option. Train to gladgow is regular and the food in the bar is of high quality.

Would have been nice of a choice of smaller breakfast more like a continental one if people didn't want fried food in the morning at a lower price. Maybe just a personal view , what we had was very nice though.
