Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Perfect peaceful location and get away for few days… The Covey was very clean, cosy, comfortable & had everything needed. The shower block was more a swanky en-suite - everything new but just a few strides away from the hut. Stacey was very friendly & helpful with recommendations of where to visit & places to eat - & we did try many! Cake & milk on arrival was greatly appreciated & enjoyed - she even brought us plenty logs for evening fires.

United KingdomWe genuinely couldn't identify anything that we didn't like, nor anything that could be improved.
Really unique accommodation, exactly as described and as per the photos. The Covey is very well furnished and we loved the colour scheme! It is better equipped than even the photos suggested; fridge freezer, heating, toaster......and we were given the key to our private bathroom suite, a mere ten metres away. Spaced apart from the other two accommodation options so it felt private and exclusive. Our host was really friendly and we enjoyed the cake on arrival, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended!

United KingdomWe can't say we didn't like anything. If there was a note, a bit of condensation in the morning but no bother we just openedthe doors & there was no tv but that really didn't bother us & quite enjoyed having no tv. So nothing negative & nothing we didn't like.
Everything...it was so quiet & peaceful..just what we wanted & like, so was able to relax, the bed was comfortable & there was everything we needed. There was even a couple of slices of cake & milk ready for us. Also there were logs at no extra cost. Stacey the host was lovely, she was friendly & laid back so this made us feel comfortable as we had a bit of a yappy dog at times, but she didn't make us feel comfortable. Wish we could of had time to stay longer. We will definitely be returning.

United KingdomOnly thing I could say is it would be nice to have more hooks (but I did bring a lot of coats that I didn't end up needing!)
Compact but perfectly formed. Was travelling solo with my dog and it was so nice to be able to just walk from the hut to Cromer. Having the allocated side in the shower block was lovely as you are able to leave things in there and not have to worry (and only takes a few seconds to walk to)

United KingdomPrior to our visit we received excellent communication via email, with directions and things to do in the area/places to eat. We received a lovely welcome by the owners who went through the facilities. The hut was so cute and the perfect size for the two of us, with storage for our bags under the bed. A lovely kitchen area with a kettle, toaster, 2 cooker rings, a mini fridge freezer, so we could enjoy a nice breakfast before we headed out for the day. The shower and toilet were separate, and only 30 seconds away from the hut. Also lovely, modern, and very clean. The location was excellent, we walked into cromar and then to Overstrand and back on one of our days. We'd definitely recommend staying here.

This is a brilliant place to stay. Every detail has been thought of indoors and outdoors is so peaceful with stunning views across open countryside. Stacey is an excellent host, The Covey is charming, the location is convenient for visiting so many places, with a lovely walk along the Weavers’ Way down to the sea at Cromer.

United KingdomFantastic location, really quiet and rural. Lovely 40 minute walk to the beach through ancient woodland. Very close to national trust property. The three huts are well spaced out in a well kept area and dog friendly. Really great long weekend stay.

United KingdomI honestly can't think of anything that I would want to be improved. Beyond my expectations in all respects.
Perfectly presented bijou accommodation in a shepherd's hut (think of a vintage caravan). Really nicely finished with all modern conveniences (instant hot water, microwave, stove, fridge freezer, efficient heating when needed, comfy double bed). Excellent shower and toilet facilities are just a few strides across a small field. Absolutely silent location with privacy and views into fields and woods. Just a mile from Cromer and well placed for visiting Felbrigg Hall and all around North Norfolk. Lovely friendly host who was around to take care of any requests and who made sure there was a pint of milk and some delicious cake in the fridge when we arrived. We were at the mercy of the weather (this is England after all) but the hut was lovely and cozy. When the weather was good, we could throw open the double doors and breathe in the fresh air coming in from the sea. So charming.
