Food is exceptional both dinner and breakfast. Rooms beautifully appointed and staff friendly and happy to help.

Charming location, cosy and warm, friendly and welcoming staff. We happened to be there on their Beaujolais night - such amazing food and great fun! Staff are very effective, bright in mood with great sense of humour, what a delightful evening! We were offered a room upgrade as well, so thank you. On the edge of the RSPB reserve, beautifully peaceful and charming even on a cold but sunny November day. We will certainly go back there for another weekend break!

United KingdomThere is a step along the path leading to the entrance of the cottage which is not ideal if you are not steady on your feet… we tripped even though we were told to be careful. The door opens outwards which also causes difficulty. Perhaps extend the raised path to level the patio in the quaint garden area?
We stayed one night as we had tickets for the Chichester theatre and chose The Crab & Lobster as it looked conveniently situated. We were not disappointed. Was exceptionally quiet after the restaurant/pub revellers had left. We stayed in The Cottage attached to the main building . Beautifully decorated, clean, well appointed. The history of the pub and surrounding area is fascinating. We ate in Chichester so cannot comment on the restaurant but breakfast was outstanding. Loved it and will visit again. Next time for a couple of nights!
