Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe room was dirty ( bin in bathroom hadn’t been emptied) and a bit tired with spots of mold in the bathroom and stains on the ceiling . It’s on a very busy road and was hot, but it’s hard to get air because of the road noise.
The location is excellent. The food was great and the staff were very accommodating at dinner and breakfast.

United KingdomIt was differently not worth the money, we had a hot tub room, the patio doors didn’t close properly and were dirty. The hot tub jets only halved work, didn’t feel clean. The hot tub was over looked by upstairs bedroom and was to close to next doors hot tub, only a thin fence between, you could here what everyone was saying. The bed was uncomfortable and have had a bad back since. Food was nice, but restaurant dirty, dead flies all in the windows and service was so slow, waited over 1/2 hour for two cold puddings, meals were not checked on and empty glasses were not collected so in all we had 6 glasses on our table. For a high end restaurant this was not worth it.
Always wanted to go here if I was in the area, lovely looking pub.

United KingdomBreakfast was expensive, and weren’t told the prices until payment (understood that it was included). Went for tea, came back 2 hours later and one of our rooms had an infestation of bugs in the bathroom. Initially said there was no other rooms until staff saw the state of the bathroom then were given another room but no compensation. Arrived 5 mins late for breakfast (10:05) (no info on breakfast times on check in), greeted with unfriendly staff when we got there and felt rushed out. Wouldn’t pay what I did for the stay.
Very quaint and cosy. Evening meal was well priced and good quality.

United KingdomThe shower was poor (head blocked?) so poor flow and it went all over the floor as the screen not great The food was definitely overpriced for the quality & portion size! Quiet room required but we were on the road which was noisy all night!
The breakfast was very nice and the staff member (lady) was very nice and attentive

United KingdomFirst umpression from garden space was cigarette butt on the floor and filthy ashtray which wasn't needed, cobwebs all around hot tub, smell from hot tub. Dust in room and needs a lock of paint in many places. Evening meal wasn't as tasty as expected for the price and not very warm. Breakfast again was like warm. Staff smoking then coming in to serve breakfast, not the nicest smell and greeting.
Room decor, comfort, linens good quality, rural quiet location, modern. Breakfast of good quality and tasty but cold.

United Kingdomroast dinner was horrendous, meat was fine but the potatoes and veg were awful. To the point where my husband even said he’d rather of had Toby carvery (and he’s not a fan of there either!) hot tub in room wasn’t on right setting so wondered why it hadn’t heated after few hours. lady came to sort around 7/8pm but then had to wait till morning for it to be warm again.
beautiful location, internal decor and warm vibes. high worth suite was brilliant. Brilliant breakfast which made up for awful lunch previous day.

United KingdomThe room was spotlessly clean, the decor in the bathroom could do with a refresh. But I’m really nitpicking here.
A charming inn situated in the Berkshire countryside. Free parking, large room, with comfortable bed. Welcoming staff. Delicious evening meal and complementary breakfast. Will definitely stay here again.

United KingdomLack of lighting in car park and exterior signage to rooms was an issue. WC had a splash of faeces on the rim at the back and I had to clean something off seat.

United KingdomPart of a chain of managed pubs & does not appear to have resident cook, food only available during limited kitchen hours. Booked including breakfast but found on arrival that kitchen does not start until 8am, no alternative offered. Inadequate bedroom lighting so unable to read easily & couldn't judge cleanliness. Bathroom well lit & clean but lacking maintenance -black mould around bath, amateur grouting repairs & toilet syphon passing continually. Some bedroom windows open immediately onto main road but fortunately traffic was restricted during this visit.
Easy to book & fair price if taking breakfast. Large car park and warm welcome to modernised character property. Main building appeared clean, well lit & maintained. Close to major routes & showground but rural location. Private entrance to accomodation, outside seating area, on site restaurant with fancy menu if funds allow & arriving early, all the usual facilities in the room with stylish fixtures & nice hospitality selection.

United KingdomHow loud the room above was due to the flooring being unsuitable
Lovely location and staff. Unfortunately the room we booked was not fit for purpose, the room above had flooring which when walked on was so loud in our room, so much so we had to complain and be moved. It was horribly loud and I truly believe if you have people in the room above you should not let people stay below. Saying it was loud is an understatement. We were very lucky to be moved but if not I would of checked out and asked for a refund. Would only stay again in the upgraded room we had as no noise issues. To clarify, it was not the people upstairs it was the bad flooring, the people probably had no idea of the issues we had due to them being in there. One minor thing, was not advised of food specials. Heard them be offered to someone else as we were paying, was disappointed as the food is amazing so missed out on some delicious sounding specials
