It was an absolute pleasure to spend two nights at The Crown at Marnhull. The room was spacious, immaculately clean and the bed very comfortable. The very hot shower was an added bonus! Breakfast was plentiful and delicious and we chose to eat our evening meals in the pub restaurant and can recommend this too. The Crown is perfectly located for anyone wishing to explore Hardy's Dorset and I can highly recommend it.

The attention to detail in the accommodation was amazing! Fresh chilled milk for hot beverages, immaculately clean room and bathroom. Plus a pre packed breakfast box was offered as I was leaving very early. The food and service in the Crown pub was top notch!

I arranged to have my brothers wake here, from start to finish the staff where great they responded fast to any emails i sent the food was lovely and we had a meal after which was great. The room had a lovely bath lovely and clean. Would recommend

this is a lovely place to stay, staff and owners are very welcoming and friendly, and the rooms are done to the best they can. the TV's are outdated and need upgrading. overall very good place to stay in the middle of nowhere.

Lots of history. Comfortable… thoughtful extras that just make a hotel stay so much more comfortable. I was leaving too early to make breakfast so they made me up a sandwich to take with me.

I’d prefer if it was fully supported and busy on a Friday night … wonderful bar, outstanding and delicious meals..but in our current economy with prices forced up through Government regulations and products even more expensive popping out for supper and a drink is becoming a luxury… Let’s all try our best even if we cut back on spending to pop out to the local.

It’s a true country pub with a British feel along with welcome non British nationals adding to character ..im encouraging you to visit for anything that pleases. Drink in the bar, light meal or a full on dinner.

The room was absolutely beautiful with much attention to detail from the fluffiest of white towels in a beautiful basket, to lovely toiletries, delicious branded hot chocolate and cookies, a bottle of chilled water and fresh milk in the fridge. Everything was so well thought and the staff were super helpful.

The bed was a little softer than I’m used to but appreciate this isn’t something that would necessarily impact others.

We loved the location of the Crown in the small village of Marnhull. The area was quiet and scenic but with a full and lively customer base, many of them local, giving the pub a lively and friendly atmosphere. The staff on arrival were friendly and efficient but in a nice relaxed manner. We loved our room which was cosy, comfortable and nicely furnished with all we needed in it. Good selection of toiletries, tea and coffee and the added bonus of bottled milk in the fridge. The Crown has a nice sized beer garden where we sat out before our evening meal. The menu for evening meals was comprehensive and we all enjoyed our meals, together with the good and efficient service from the waitresses looking after the tables that evening.

Excellent stay, great facilities in this old English public house. All luxurious. The breakfasts were all cooked to perfection.
