Our room was very hot and had no open windows. Room 1. The bath was nice, but the shower was too big for the bath, so it was difficult to shower and the curtain got in the way.

Staff are very friendly. Food was great and plentiful. Room was comfortable and large. Bottles of Faith in Nature in our room was a lovely touch.

The cracked shower head could do with being replaced but still in good working order.

The accommodation building was freezing cold - no heating. A plug in radiator kept the bedroom warm but no heating in the bathroom and water for bath not very hot.

Our room was not cleaned or beds made on Sat Tea and coffee and toilet psper not replenished.we had to ask for more which shouldhsve prompted an apologoybut didnot.towels left in bath asper i syructions for replacement not touched

Sadly I slept really badly. The mattress wasn’t good quality (you could feel and hear the springs when you moved) which I haven’t encountered in a hotel/B&B for a long time. The staff were friendly but inattentive at supper and, for £7, the packed lunch was very basic and an item was forgotten.

The staff were friendly and it was a quaint unpretentious country pub with lots of charm. The room was tastefully decorated and it was nice that there were nice quality shower products. Breakfast was also good.

Situated right on busy main road with a lot of traffic noise. Shower in disabled room difficult to use so never found the hot water

Uncomfortably close to a country road at times busy with agricultural vehicles and occasional HGVs. Excellent bar food needed an additional lighter menu for those with lighter appetites.

Breakfasts were good but possibly a little over generous. The Crown was a wonderful place, loaded with history and close to an old church. Excellent garden. Excellent friendly staff and an excellent Crown owner.

Cool coffee at breakfast - hot water in a flask + coffee bag not so good Door locks needing lubrication - did alert staff Main door link to bedrooms needs lock renewing - probably heavy use has made it fail.

The noise from the road we was at the front so we got no sleep due to the cars going past it’s rather noisy

Room smaller than expected. Wardrobe in room was very small and smelt. No where to put toiletries in bathroom. Walls paper thin could hear other residents in their room and w.c.

The adjacent road and thin windows meant the traffic could be heard. The coffee included with breakfast is instant and breakfast only starts at 0830 on weekends which is quite late when you're early risers.

The family room was perfect for us and gave us ample room to function. The pub was always full at night, which is a good sign, and the food was delicious. Great history to discover in the pub as well.

Evening meal. Main meal arrived minutes after starters finished showing signs of sitting under heat, obviously cooked too early and rushed out. As a result we eat somewhere else the following evening. Disappointing.
