Did not get rooms booked as bed broken. No chef for breakfast so very limited food. Bathrooms in rooms very tired and mouldy in places. Would not stay here again, no refund offered for rooms but were refunded a bit for breakfast.

Breakfast options were not as advertised on line or within the menu in the room. Bar staff would not serve drinks at 10.15 pm on a Friday evening even though we were resident. Staff member was quite abrupt in refusing to serve us.

The food!!!! We sent our starter and mains back. The starter was a sharing baked Camembert which wasn’t cooked through and only came with 4 small pieces of French stick and 1 piece of sourdough between us. The fish and chips, the fish was dry and overcooked, peas rock hard. The beef and ale pie was inedible and the seasonal veg a disgrace. Unfortunately breakfast was no better. The ingredients were tasteless, no pastries in the pastry basket, no brown bread left by the toaster. We felt sorry for the staff as they were so good but obviously working with poor quality food. This was a single Saturday night stay costing £180.00 not including evening meal.

The location was excellent and the hotel was clean and our room comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful we couldn’t fault them.

A lovely pub and inn set in a stunning location. All the staff were incredibly attentive, polite and friendly. The room was comfortable and very clean. There were such nice little touches like the fresh milk for tea and coffee in the room, loaned wellies and brollies and locally sourced toiletries in the room. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Both meals were delicious. Would absolutely stay here again, we had no complains at all. 11 out of 10!

The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We were given a free upgrade on our room upon arrival. The attention to detail with our dog was outstanding. Breakfast was delicious. Best of all it was our wedding anniversary and it made it feel real special.

The property was excellent. Very tidy and spacious. The bar area and eating area were well kept, clean and tidy. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent. The staff were vet attentive, polite and efficient. Special mention to Sophie who served us, very nice, polite and friendly young lady.

We have stayed here twice in the past and always been pleased. This time I felt that the place needed a bit of a makeover as parts were looking quite tatty. We were especially disappointed with the standard of the food, especially dinner, there was a good choice at breakfast.

The staff were all friendly and efficient. The property is in a lovely village at the edge of Chatsworth, great for an evening stroll. I had no problem charging my electric bike and the staff were most obliging about it.
