The room was small but very welcoming and comfortable. The staff really friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were very good.

The accommodation areas that we saw looked like they needed some refreshing. The lighting in our room wasn't great, only 1 bedside light for a double. One area of the room was dark, needed another light.

Breakfast on the First Morning was amazing, lovely staff, as the weekend went on the service was very slow though it was Easter Weekend so I assume very busy. The final Morning it took nearly 50 minutes to be asked what we would like and the food was very well done to the point it was burnt. Such a shame as on the first day we gave it 10/10

Lovely pub, with great friendly staff, nice warm decor. The room was more than we expected for the price, very comfy nice decor. Great toiletries etc and we slept like logs in the comfy beds for 3 nights

The food especially the breakfast was very good. All staff were top drawer. Rachel was especially amenable on arrival, allowing us to check in early in the rain. Great bar and restaurant staff too.

Ground floor room was very noisy with sounds from upstairs and the fire doors near the room. The WiFi was spotty and required all your personal data to log in. The hairdryer cord was too short to be able to dry your hair in front of a mirror and the paint work in bathroom requires attention. The room would fit a king size bed as the double was very small

Our room needed the paintwork touching up in places. The bathroom grout and sealant needs attention.

There were only two things for us - the soft bed and the pressure of the shower. Some people love a soft bed but much too soft for us and a bit creaky.

The staff are amazing. Extremely welcoming. We loved the choices of the hot breakfast! We wanted them all!! We ate at the restaurant one evening too and there is a lot of choice. And lots of different wines! Loved the Malbec!! The interconnecting family room 11 was perfect for us and our two older children. The kids had their own ensuite bathroom which they loved with a basket ball ring and ducks and a shelf full of games and books. Great attention to detail. The bathroom products are really gorgeous (shampoo, conditioner, bubble bath, hand wash and body cream) Tea and coffee in the rooms! Umbrellas and wellies can be borrowed from the hotel too Free parking

I was charged twice diff one night due to an error in the booking.com site but they fixed it the next morning.

I loved the boutique feel of the hotel with all of the English charm. It was close to Chatsworth and the breakfast was delicious.

Could have been a few more starting options (nuts/seeds/more fruit etc.) and fresh coffee (not standing in pot) would have been nice. Could have done with a rack for cases in the room, but ample room on the floors anyway

The atmosphere of the pub is excellent and staff incredibly friendly. Nothing was too much trouble if we needed anything specific. We didn't expect 5 star luxury at the very reasonable price we paid, which meant we were not disappointed with anything. Breakfast was delicious especially the full English. Room/bed was very comfortable. . Perfectly placed for Chatsworth and surrounding villages/walks. Wonderful stay anyway.
