The breakfast was excellent with a great and varied choice. The staff in all areas but most particularly in the restaurant were excellent. They were polite, friendly and very helpful, a real asset to the business.

Building interior was lovely, front seating was also lovely. Room was big, and clean. Breakfast and dinner were great. The only floor we can find is the 50 minute wait for our main course (two Sunday roasts and two burgers). But ignoring that our stay was fab.

The breakfast was ok but has gone downhill and they are obviously trying to cut costs. which is fine but when you are paying nearly £200 for bed & breakfast the value isn't great. There was previously smoked salmon on the menu but this has been removed and other items on the menu were not available. We requested oat milk (a fairly common item) and it was not available, this was the same the last time we stayed too..

We have stayed here on a number of occasions and the rooms are good.

Only a small complaint and that was the toilet bowl in the bathroom was not as clean as on previous visits. More bleach needed please!

The rooms here are great, very relaxing and the beds are so comfortable. The bar is very pleasant and the food and drink are on the pricey side ... but that is common everywhere these days.

I seem to have an issue with getting you guys paid. Been communicating since,asked for confirmation of payment and an invoice for my stay have not received either. My latest card statement does not show payment which is surprising. Rang twice, answer phone both times, left meassage no response.

Breakfast was very good great choice. Bedroom on top floor the slanting ceiling was bit of issuue,ducked few times but it got me twice.

Feather pillows wasn't too keen on.

Cleanliness 100% perfect throughout hotel.The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Lovely bar to have a drink. Breakfast wide selection and very tasty. The hotel I felt had a relaxing feel to it. Absolutely perfect stay. Would highly recommend and stay again.

Dinner and breakfast menu gave great choices and the food was very nice, my only criticism would be, the service was a little slow and some of the food was luke warm, would have preferred it to be piping hot.

The room was very spacious and comfortable with great views over the town and countryside. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Poundbury is a beautiful place to visit.

Breakfast was where it fell down. We had three days there. Each day it was as if a different chef was on duty, one day my wife just wanted beens on toast, two slices of bread and a thimble size pot arrived with a few beens in it. Another day my full English was swimming in oil. Fried eggs not only was yokes runny (no-one asked how we would like them) but the whites were not cooked though. All three days the same honey comb was put out, no honey in it and just a small piece of the comb left in the corner. All three days we had to ask for the orange jug to be topped up! The Breakfast let down a fine hotel.

Architecture and layout very original, lots of separate seating areas. Evening meal very good. Location ideal for exploring Dorset, free parking.

Door stop in room 14 in daft position on the floor of the bathroom.

Position A - Great views, in the heart of Poundbury, plenty of parking. Rooms - Space, style, comfort - good beds + pillows.
