Be aware that doors to the rooms don't self lock when you close them. You have to use the key. The radiator in room 4 wouldn't turn off so it was very warm in there. Also there are wall clocks in the rooms that look lovely but tick very loudly. I had to remove the battery in order to sleep. There are blinds at the windows that let in a lot of light. Needs to have additional blackout curtains as it was very bright in the morning.

Spotlessly clean. Really comfortable beds and pillows. Plenty of complimentary tea/coffee provided and nice to have a checkout of 11am as we had a late night and the later checkout was much needed. We ate in the restaurant which very convenient and the food was great. Easy check out. Just leave keys in a secure box downstairs and off you go.

Lovely sized rooms with everything you need, plenty of coffee and tea, room 5 was a very nice big shower with nice towels. The pub is friendly stylish and has a great ambience The staff are all lovely and attentive and you can tell they pride themselves on providing a wonderful stay. The FOOD is amazing very beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. The portion sizes are just right and seasoned perfectly. Breakfast was just right to start the day and again served and presented by the head chef who takes pride in everything. We would 100% recommend a stay or visit just for a yummy meal x

The room was very hot during the night - the heating was out of our control. The shower was difficult to control and we both nearly scalded ourselves.

It was in a good location for a family get together. The room was comfortable and good value for money.

There really wasn't anything I thought could have been better other than picking up the whole establishment and moving it to somewhere with a fantastic view. Im sure others could pick fault but for the price you won't get better value than this.

The room was large enough for a single traveller, bath room was fine. The double bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in for a very long time, nearly as good as being at home. The food in the bar was very good too, the steak was cooked to perfection and the pale ale was lovely. I will definitely be returning on my next work trip to Norfolk and Cambridgeshire

For some really peculiar reason. They decide to actively kick you out from the bar at 10pm both Friday and Saturday. On the Friday had about 50 people drinking/eating and bar staff literally packing up around you. On Saturday with 4 other couples staying due to a family party, all willing to spend more money and again shut down and refusal of Drinks. To me an absolutely bonkers situation and I think longer term harmful to the business. Went to pub down road they all said how much business they Pick up as a result. Obviously makes a fortune and no Need of the extra business!!!

Early meeting in Wisbech. Very clean and inviting place. Food was really good. Comfortable and quiet nights rest.

By coincidence, my wife & I had booked into the same hotel as six other family members who were all attending an anniversary function a few miles away in Wisbech. The function finished at 9.0pm and we returned to the hotel before 10.00pm expecting to relax and have a beer / wine or two. However, upon our return we were surprised to find the bar was closed and in darkness despite the published Saturday closing time being 23.00. We were told that, as there had been no customers in the bar for about an hour, the staff decided to close up for the night. Had there been a pub within walking distance we would happily of patronised it. Instead, we all went to our rooms & had an early night.

Ample free car parking, comfortable, clean room, excellent full English breakfast & friendly staff.

Size of the room, easy access, car park on side, Breakfast on order the day before - get it all fresh made + crispy /soft bacon exactly as it should be. Later, after booking reception called me asking about the arrival time, letting me know when kitchen / food is closing.

At breakfast, the cereals tea and toast were al served together. By the time I finished the cereal the toast had gone cold and so had the tea. I would suggest to space it out.
