Small hotels are always on the back foot when it comes to facilities compared to larger corporate hotel chains who can invest millions at a whim. This hotel has tried their best to provide a warm and welcoming environment on a budget and they have succeeded. Okay the pool is small, slightly cramped but it is there along with a sauna and Jacuzzi thus elevating the hotel to luxury status. But do not arrive expecting a palace because it is not. The bedrooms are above average and clean, but we wanted single beds and not bunk beds, unfortunately this was not provided but they tried their best to provide alternatives or a full refund. I believe this is good service. Parking is a problem and so I would recommend their £15 a night reserved parking space. This is essential if you have an electric car as this hotel has various charging points. Though with its location of course parking will be an issue as it is immediately next the the sea front. There is on street parking but there is a scramble for this.

Staff are very pleasant and team players upholding the reputation of the establishment. This is in itself unusual for a hotel business. They were very helpful and offered a very personal touch to our stay;from accommodating our slightly unusual breakfast requests to cookies in the room for the evening,as well as providing night time milk and cookies for the children. The staff and their service very much overcame any other negative points They work hard keeping the place very clean especially with people bringing sand in on their feet throughout the day - it is spotless.

Can be a little noisy…(doors slamming,people moving down corridors etc). Parking…a continuous nightmare….although not sure what the hotel can do about it?

Only thing I didn’t like was fridge not working well in bedroom as we had some baby food with us and fridge was very slow nearly zero. Glad that we got our own travelling fridge that worked with car. And most important thing they offered you breakfast after selecting from menu nothing more nothing less. I only received one hash brown in breakfast which was my most favourite thing. Still felt hungry after light breakfast. Didn’t know if we can ask for more or they gonna charge if we want more. It was only 1 day stay for us So we left it as we were in hurry to go out.

First time been there. Staff was lovely. We got room with balcony ( not sea view as we haven’t booked )Great value for money. Room was bigger than my expectations. Comfy bed and sofa bed. Most beautiful thing about this hotel was the view and location. You can enjoy the view by sitting in living room as well. Lovely indoor and outdoor play area for children. My child loved it. Definitely recommend it

Room was advertised with a very large bed, this was in fact two singles pushed together but once spoke with staff this was resolved very quickly and a topper was provided which solved our issue and the rest of the stay was comfortable, swimming facilities was good but no beds etc to relax just a small sofa in two corners.

The breakfast is very good, choice of continental and cooked each morning with fresh tea coffee and juices, location of the hotel was perfect right on the beach front with free parking out the front, spaces were limited if trying to park at peak times due to location but always a spot overnight.

one of our party had to change rooms as the double bed booked was mini but they accommodated the request no problem. The rooms were boiling hot but all had fans.

the boiler broke so we had no hot water! one of the reception staff were not very polite when we were trying to find out where to shower.

beautiful sea views, clean, the bar was nice and had live music on the Saturday evening. the pool was lush. food was fantastic and the lad at the bar was so lovely and catered to our needs!

Room was ok for a few nights; but for a family room if I was staying for any longer than that would have been too confined. Family rooms all look out onto other buildings / play ground so view wasn’t great. Rooms very hot, air con would have made us so much more comfortable! Hot tub was out of use for servicing our entire stay- would have appreciated the heads up when booking as it was something my husband was really looking forward too!

Great set up for families kids. Little touches like build a bear at check in/ kids squash & hot choc station in room/ milk & cookies at bed were great. My little girl also loved the trunk in reception with lots of beach toys which can be used during your stay 😊 Breakfast was amazing! Fantastic cold continental options and then order of the menu hot choice - we much preferred this to a buffet!

The location of our room was a tad inconvenient with our pushchair as lots of little steps to contend with but we were a last minute booking. No air conditioning in the room which was absolutely sweltering. Our baby struggled to sleep in the heat, but we did have a tower fan in the room which we couldn't have coped without. The shower would lose pressure and go cold. We had one meal in the restaurant which was pleasant but very over priced. The pasta wasn't even homemade which for the price I was hoping would be exceptional. It was quite basic but made with good quality produce.

The included breakfast was really lovely, couldn't have asked for more. The morning staff were great, very welcoming. The pool was lovely, and had we had our older children with us the play area along side the restaurant would have come in extremely handy. The location is perfect. Not too far a walk from town and just over the road from the beach steps. The hotel was bright modern and moslty well kept.

Seems like the rooms are not soundproof. I had a bit of a hard time sleeping because of squeaky sounds at night when the guys above our floor are walking. In the morning you can hear doors banging.

Overlooking and perfect location to enjoy Fristal Beach. Friendly staff and a good selection of food in the restaurant. They have a pool, cinema and play area for kids.

Breakfast has limited choice. During busy time, the wait time is very long (55 mins to finish a breakfast). Location is great. Parking is a very down point. The hotel has a very small car park and narrow parking space. The room is noisy. You can hear people walking upstairs, running washing machines etc. Limited choice for dinner menus
