What a beautiful gem at the heart of Fistral Beach. Stayed here for 1 night for a stopover on the 17th July 2023. I could not be more pleasantly surprised. Staff was amazing. They have advised about parking etc (some free parking on site, some charged at £15 per night, there is also free parking right outside on main road), they were more than happy to explain pool facilities, restaurant, bars etc. Check in was pleasant and not rushed. Very welcoming. The hotel itself has a very modern but warm feel to it. Gorgeous seats by entrance overlooking bay with stunning costal views. Room was very clean with nice welcoming tea/coffee selection with different types of Cornish tea as well as a cute jar of shortbreads! Also a quick side note, room smelled gorgeous! 😀 Bathroom was, again, very clean with a lovely selection of toiletries. If you are staying here, do not worry about your shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, hand wash or even a body moisturiser. The selection of these in this hotel would last a family of 4 for about a week! Clean towels and lots of them with bathrobes and slippers. They only 1 thing I found slightly annoying (very slightly) the room was very very hot. Especially after a shower. Windows open only a tiny bit which is a shame because they could easily be opened a lot more and still safe with kids, pets, etc. However, I believe this might have been mentioned before as the fan (tall, standing one) that was provided was more than enough to make sure the stay was comfortable as much as possible. Will definitely be back, hopefully for more than 1 stopover night thats for sure! Thank you Esplanade and Staff.

The breakfast is £25 per person each morning! Which was a lot when you only have cereal or toast and tea! So we ended up going into town every day for breakfast. Loads of light came through the windows so the room wasn’t dark! Noise coming from what we could only think was a fan or generator out the back! Beds are quite small large double was still too small!

The fact that you had to pay extra if you wanted a cappuccino, latte or any other choice of coffee other than a standard coffee.

Breakfast was good but the continental breakfast could not really be called that as it only offered pastries and small cousants. Usually a continental breakfast offers salami and other cold meats, cheese selection, bread rolls etc.

Room far too hot (even with a fan on and windows open) bed hard and pillows flat and hard, food in the restaurant wasn't the best. This is our second stay and on our first the bed and pillows were perfect & the room was on a higher floor with no temperature issues, so I think it's luck of the draw which room you have.

Spotlessly clean, great staff, brilliant service, great location. Spa toiletries in the room are heavenly, in room tea and coffee making facilities are brilliant, lots of choice and the little jar of shortbread is a lovely touch.

View from window overlooking old tennis court not to good and no child locks on windows which could have been dangerous had I not noticed. I had my 6 year old son staying with me at the time and we were 3 floors up.

No air conditioning and room could get very hot, in fact the whole corridor feels hot with not much air circulation.

The beds were hard and quite uncomfortable. There was no AC and the room was incredibly hot! Parking was quite limited. Breakfast very expensive.

Great facilities, great location, very friendly staff. Nice little touches. Dog friendly. Close proximity to the beach.
