Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOnly downside was hearing the kitchen fans for breakfast in the morning as the room overlooked the kitchen/ventilation.
Room was newly renovated and comfy. Ate dinner in the pub and was good food.

United KingdomThe dinner menu had a good choice but we were a little confused with the flavours on the plates. All-in-all a very pleasant stay. Keep it simple. I have a big 4x4 and the archway was obviously not designed with these in mind. However, it was my choice to have the car - and to drive through the arch into the car park. Fortunately, no damage to car or wall!
A lovely, old hotel that has been well maintained and is very clean throughout. It's an old coaching inn and so one shouldn't expect state of the art facilities but accept the fact that creaking floorboards, low ceilings and exposed woodwork add to the charm of this establishment. The staff were very pleasant and polite.

AustraliaAccess to parking was not good. Entrance is tight and one-way road had cars parked opposite making turning for our hire car very awkward. so did not use hotel car park. No lift. This would be difficult for people less mobile than us.
General ambience of the hotel and immediate location. Food was excellent. Restaurant staff were particularly good in all respects without being intrusive. Lounge area was very comfortable and we were not pressed to order anything there.

United KingdomDifficulty in finding the small car park when we arrived. It would have helped if we had had a map or similar. Very small entrance to car park which made it secure which was a bonus. Had to be very careful not to hit the side of the arch entrance with car. If we had a wider vehicle - we would not have managed to get in.
Lovely room. Comfy bed. Very clean. Breakfast - nice.

United KingdomPerfect stay, nothing negative to say
Loved the Tudor building. The room was comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was excellent. We booked dinner with family and friends and this, too, was excellent. We required a Gluten Free meal and catering staff were extremely helpful to prepare first class meals. All staff at the hotel were very friendly and efficient. it was good to visit the historic market town of Ledbury and the surrounding area.

United KingdomThe bathroom was smaller than expected. But I got the hang of the shower by the end!
The full English breakfast was not perfect. Sausages and tomato undercooked, only one egg, and a bit too expensive for what it was. Location perfect though.

United KingdomNo hotel can supply toast warm with your breakfast. When you make your own you have no idea how long the breakfast will be. Either you make it and the toast goes cold. Or you wait for the breakfast and then make toast and the breakfast goes cold. We’ve given up hope of this. Now I am finding things to say. Don’t encourage me. We loved it there. Lovely town too.
The food was excellent. The staff were efficient, friendly and most helpful. The dining room was rather chilly in the mornings. We loved the pictures of chefs and found them fascinating. If anyone ever finds out about them we’d very much like to know more.
