The only thing in our room was the travel kettle located on the bedside table. Maybe I did it wrong hut I had to boil it, then unplug it and carry the kettle and the cable to the cups because I failed to make room for the cups on the bedside table with the lamp, the kettle and stuff I needed on the side. That being my only gripe (which isn't a gripe because I'm not a gripey person!) I would very happily revisit and recommend.

Loved the neighborhood, it was peaceful. On- street parking was available when the small hotel car park was full. The 20 minute walk (uphill, mind!) to the High Barnet Tube Station was very straightforward. Shampoo and body wash were in the shower room and smelled lovely! Very, very nice.

That the restaurant was closed, so the only food available was a limited bar menu. The chairs in the bar were comfortable but far too low

Very friendly family business with a warm welcome, comfortable room and excellent breakfast. High Barnet underground 10 minutes away on foot or quicker by bus. Have used several times myself and I recommend it highly.

No fault of the hote or staff but some of the guests staying when we stayed were partying all night, doors slamming, music playing and singing in rooms until at least 4am!

No chair in the room / table to work at. This was a business trip so need to be able to sit and work. Not as close to the station as stated by Booking.com

I struggled changing the TV over and up or down with the remote control

Didn't get time for breakfast but was allowed a late check out until until midday at short notice. Also we came back in the early hours of the morning, so we liked that we could just buzz the back door with our room key without disturbing anyone in the middle of the night.

If being really critical, our room (6) was a little on the small side with just a standard double bed. It was fine for just the one night but I'd request a slightly larger room for future stays

Very good location with underground & overground train links within a 5min taxi ride. The hotel is warm and welcoming with a very nice bar area. The property is very clean & tidy both inside and out having been recently refurbished. All the staff we met were very friendly, chatty and accommodating. Our breakfast was cooked to order and 1st class

The rooms were a little basic

The staff were brilliant, very welcoming, helpful and extremely pleasant. Nothing was too much for them and they really made our weekend stay worthwhile. The breakfasts were excellent with a good choice of hot dishes that were very well cooked with good portion size. The hotel offers very good value for the price and we will return the next time we visit Barnet.

The linen was going threadbare and could have done with being replaced but the bed itself was very comfortable.

The bed was really uncomfortable and I had a bad back for one day, very small car park as well. The pillows were to big and to high. The carpet needs replacing and the sink was 2 small in the bathroom.

The staff were really friendly and polite. Good breakfast the second day. Also the location was good as well.
