Breakfast was amazing! Really filling and good quality, they also give you fresh cake EVERY DAY! Staff were really friendly and made the stay really nice. Will definitely be returning!

Richard was so welcoming and lovely, went above and beyond to help us celebrate a birthday with a drink on the house! The bed was comfy and room was big and lovely (amazing bathroom in the luxury room!), breakfast was delicious and the homemade cakes were a lovely touch. Good location, just a few mins walk from the train station and short walk into town.

Breakfast was delicious and there are plenty of options. The hosts were extremely helpful and went out of their way to ensure our stay was most pleasurable. Complimentary cake everyday was a lovely touch. Parking was easy, the room was comfortable and clean. Could not fault our stay at the Hideaway, a lovely weekend getaway. Would not hesitate to book again. 10/10

The building was beautiful, the greeting and customer service we received from Richard was outstanding and personal. We chose the larger of the rooms and it was perfect and spacious. There was so much choice for breakfast and nothing was too much trouble! The home made cake was a lovely touch 😊

Beautiful location, the hideaway itself is absolutely beautiful 😍 super comfortable bed and room, was toasty warm ☺️ really nice and secluded. The BEST breakfast EVER! I'm currently having withdrawals from the yummiest breaky I've ever had, super attentive to anything you need...I wish everywhere was like the hideaway ❤️

Bedroom ever so slightly small for 2 people but it was a Mini Double so as expected. Otherwise, really nothing to fault.

Breakfast exceeded expectations, is just as fab as all the reviews say. Slice of cake every morning to take away for the day is a lovely extra touch as well. Staff are so friendly, welcoming and available for advice and recommendations on how to get to places etc. Location is just minutes from the train station and the centre of Windermere and a leisurely walk to Bowness. Great value for money, we had a lovely stay.

Richard the owner was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean, and comfortable and had lovely views. The bathroom was lovely in had a separate shower and a luxurious slipper bath. The breakfast was delicious and had lots of choice, the complimentary cakes were fantastic, all home made. We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay. Would definitely recommend and would go back.

Room and bed were perhaps a bit small for our needs but I am 8 months pregnant so I'm not fully comfortable anywhere at the moment!

Richard was very welcoming and the cake was an excellent touch! Great location for a wedding we attended. Room was clean and warm. Shower was great. Breakfast was very tasty and served promptly each morning.

a beautiful building with lots of original features set in a quiet but convenient location for Windermere and Bowness. Clean and well decorated with some lovely finishing touches and a great breakfast

- Really can't think of anything we didn't like! - No lift so probably not suitable for people with mobility issues

- Very warm, friendly, attentive, hospitable staff (thank you so much!) - Breakfast (lots of options, huge portions, they gave us daily cake as well!) - also the breakfast room is beautiful - Lounge room next to the breakfast room is also really cosy & spacious - Close to Windermere train station but very quiet - We didn't drive but there seemed to be quiet a few parking spaces - Really cosy room, great quality tea / coffee / hot chocolate in the room - Lots of information / tour brochures for Lake District in the lobby - Really pretty much everything!

Very welcoming and friendly staff, we received home-made cake on arrival and at breakfast each day very yummy! Room was spotless and just as advertised, ample parking and great location, set back in a quiet street away from the hustle bustle but close enough to all the amenities. Breakfast was top notch, produce served was really good quality and consistent each day.

We received a very warm welcome. The room was spacious with great facilities and the most comfortable bed ever! Some lovely touches too like the yummy cake on arrival and again at breakfast. Breakfast was hearty and delicious. The service was fabulous and we wanted for nothing!
