Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.

The Hideaway is in a very good location - 5 minutes walk from Windermere but not in the centre of things so very location. The breakfast was the best breakfast we had on our trip.

The room was spacious with a massive bathroom with a heated floor ! Loved the cleanliness and eye for detail.

Liked everything. The warm welcome. The cake! The comfortable bed and cosy bedroom and the breakfast choice. Great place to stay off the beaten track but close to the centre of Windermere

Everything was perfect
Host Richard was very welcoming and helpful. We had a very comfortable room and enjoyed our stay. Cake was a nice touch. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were very attentive. Excellent B and B will definitely stay there again.

Couldn't fault anything
From the moment you arrive it's all about the enjoyment of your stay. Nothing is too much trouble, ask and it's done Room (12) was excellent, quiet, spacious and comfy. Bath and Shower with never ending hot water and twin sinks so you're never fighting over the mirror. Breakfast is made to order, always hot and plenty to choose from. Then there's the daily cake, something to savour til the end of the day (that's what we did) along with a glass of wine. When we go to the Lakes again, we'll definitely book again.

We had no complaints over the breakfast at all but additional choices for breakfast would further improve the (already excellent) experience - eg Eggs Benedict / Eggs Royale.
We had an amazing stay! The property felt very homely, was very clean and well maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The staff went out of their way to make sure that you felt comfortable! Breakfast was outstanding and the addition of afternoon cake was a lovely touch! We can’t wait to come back - it’s easy to see why it is so highly recommended!

Nothing at all, it was perfect, loved our stay here
Excellent breakfast with a variety of items which are all on offer. The addition of cake every day is definitely a nice touch (maybe not so much for the waistline by the time you check out!!). Lovely cosy room which was well decorated and had a very comfortable bed. Smart TV enabling you to sign into Netflix is also a bonus. Plenty parking and a short 5-10 minute walk to the town centre. Would definitely recommend.

I really like the location, just a few minutes walk from the train station, but very quiet environment. I also love English breakfast and cake of the day. But, I’m from Bangkok, Thailand which food is served in small potion. So, I felt sorry that I couldn’t finish the delicious breakfast. All staffs and Richard were friendly and helpful.
