On a Saturday, I missed my last bus from Chippenheim to the hotel which runs at about 18:00. After that no taxi’s were available as well, so the hour hike was a bit unpleasant. But it was all worth it right when I entered their beautiful bar!

The pictures don’t do justice to the amazing vibe this place takes you through. Fantastic bar with an all English vibe, everything on the menu is just fresh and tasty, and the staff is a 10/10.

No Wi-Fi

Lovely location, room was comfortable, food in evening was amazing, so much choice and really delicious the meal I had. However breakfast was awful, it just did not seem to fit with how the food was the night before. the chef could not cook an egg, it came out overcooked, I asked for a runny egg, and the 2nd one came out exactly the same, the bacon and tom were covered in black, I'm guessing cooked in a frying pan. If you improve your breakfast this would have been excellent.

Remove the dog poo and cigarette buts from the lovely yard.

The room was quite basic, and we could hear everyone going up and down the stairs at all times.

Just great the way it is

Great breakfast, good service very efficient although I had eaten in the restaurant the previous evening wasn't ready for the full English but the chef accommodated me with what I requested.

The bed wasn't quite right for me but that is because I like a very firm bed. Not a problem.

The owners and staff were lovely, very helpful and sociable. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. My accommodation was much more than I expected for the cost . It was comfortable and clean. All in all a good place to stay. I shall be visiting again in the future.

The bed would benefit with a topper as the mattress was old and uncomfortable. Very drunk and overly friendly local was a bit full on which the owner apologised for but didn't ask him to stop. Nothing around but we were fine with that.

Lovely Inn in a beautiful little village. The food was spot on, dinner and breakfast. Very friendly staff. Our room was at the back which meant we were away from the main pub which stopped any noise. Very happy with our stay.

Bed was a little short if you are over 6’3”

High quality English breakfast. Dinner was restaurant quality (good menu and I had one of the daily specials) , pork medallions with black pudding in mushroom sauce for the same price many pubs charge for burger and chips.

took 30mins for someone to open door. parked car next to another car in carpark. then had knock a room door telling us to move car as it was taking four bays .it only looked that way cos other car left. later there were two vans blocking 4 bays. they were left in situ all night!!!!

Would have preferred a proper shower but I’m sure there are others who would enjoy having a nice bath!

Staff very friendly and facilitating. We arrived early on the way to a wedding and they gave us keys and let us into one of our rooms so we could get back in easily on return. Rooms were a good size and beds comfy.

Toilet flush in bathroom was weak. Burnt tomato, burnt toast.

Helpfulness/friendliness of bar staff member and attentiveness of chef. Good variety of food options for evening meal. Liked the fact that salad was offered in place of chips/garlic bread. Loved the historic buildings and wooden beams.

My husband has a chest condition so didn't appreciate Smoke blowing in through open door from smoking area whilst eating. But that's personal. Rooms very hot - we were in a heat wave though so not pubs fault 😂

Breakfast was fine, enough choice for our needs. Staff really friendly, evening meal good choice and great food and service. Comfortable rooms with good facilities, good WiFi. Flexible with slight extention to check out, thank you. Would certainly return and recommend.

The ground floor room didn't have any nets or blinds so anyone passing by to and from the car park could see inside the room. I drew the curtains early in the evening and got dressed in the morning with the curtains drawn! This account is in my male partner's name but I'm female.

Good value B&B with a reasonable dinner available in the pub. Staff helpful and pleasant eg making me a packed lunch on request and then not charging me for it because I didn't have breakfast.
