Superb stay at the Lime Tree Inn. Friendly, accommodating staff, clean, well presented rooms and a top notch chef in the kitchen. Breakfast and dinner was delicious. I can’t fault my experience.

The evening dining experience was excellent, as was breakfast. Top quality food, perfectly & expertly prepared by the chef by engaging staff. The only reason for not scoring top marks is the welcome / checking in was rather cool with the owners not involved in the process. The bedrooms are spacious and nicely fitted out in the relatively new building (5yrs old). There is a lift to the first floor where the bigger rooms are. The two attic rooms have plenty of daylight but no view due to velux attic windows.

A small niggle was that the broadband connection in the room wasn't fast enough to stream programmes on the internet TV without occasional delays. But it’s a small niggle - in all important aspects the hotel was excellent.

The accommodation was exceptionally comfortable, clean and up-to-date. The renovations apparently took place in 2020 but everything felt new. Room and ensuite were spacious, well appointed and with high quality linen. The hotel is also an inn and it was moderately busy in the evening while we stayed there, but we were not disturbed at all by any sounds from the bar/restaurant. Car park is spacious. Breakfast was excellent, with a good choice of dishes. Staff were friendly and helpful.

As I need to visit the school, QE, that just 6 mins drive there, and that's why I choose this Inn. They prepared the additional bed for us as we totally 3 persons (family), and all beds are comfortable, nice services, nice room, clean. The food there (dinner and breakfast) are very good, the dinner is what I like most while I was in UK for 7 nights. Marvelous

Location was ideal as we were enroute to our son who is currently based in Newcastle. Breakfast - good choice and very tasty.

The only thing I can add is please could the bathrobes be a little larger. Not a negative and did not spoil our stay in anyway.

Everything …the property is just beautiful it was clean and just smelt brand-new. Also had a lovely location. All the staff are welcoming and friendly. I thought the fact that a lot of the food like the butter was made from scratch was such a great touch so much attention to detail.

Everything was excellent if I’m being petty then the door closure could have been quieter.

Excellent, such a relief not to have a buffet breakfast. It was served with care and efficiently. It was delicious. Fabulous bed linen.

We were given the disabled room so no carpet and sink too low! Quite pricey for pub accommodation.

We had a gorgeous dinner on the Friday evening after a long drive up from London. It was a really well thought out menu and it was delicious. The wine list was also great and complemented the menu really well.
