First trip up to the room with suitcase and other belongings was the most challenging, otherwise it was okay. The clock in the room needs changing battery.

It was simple and practical, spacious room with slightly older (as expected) but well-maintained facilities - beddings and towels were clean, was able to sleep well, friendly staff, tea coffee milk sugar all available with a small cookie snack and bottle of water. Many nice cafes and restaurants nearby. Good for a work trip. Enjoyed the stay.

Heating. Either cold or a sauna. Would be good to know the times it’s on in the day, so showering etc can be planned accordingly.@

Basic, good value for money hotel in a good location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was available and good. Suitable for a few nights stay.

Should have asked about moving to a lower floor as there were a lot of stairs to negotiate. Speaking later to staff they assured me they would have done there best to help.

All in all a pleasant stay. Great location, very friendly staff with helpful tips on where to go. All meals were a very reasonably priced and very tasty, especially the Sunday roast, fussy eaters are no problem as they are happy to accommodate all requests. Had a good nights sleep as bed was very comfortable. Will be happy to return for another break.

Dated decor and paintwork inside and out needs freshening up. Bathroom fixtures had been removed and poorly filled holes left in the wall. Could be covered with sheets of large plastic panels which look neat and are easy to wipe clean. Public areas are untidy with items stored on top of cupboards on landing areas. Signs say its being refurbished but could still be tidied in the meantime. Right below room 2 & 3 is a hotel bar which played quite loud music during the day on Saturday but not late on. Main ceiling light in our room was daylight white (as opposed to warm white) which made the room feel cold and 1 bedside lamp was very dull. Would be better with at least 1 more bedside lamp and lighting at the dressing table.

Very clean hotel, bedroom & bathroom. I thanked the cleaner when I saw her. Our room 3 was immaculate. Smelled clean as soon as we opened the door. No black mould in the shower. Inside drawers & wardrobe were dust free. Glass shower screen was spotless and streak free. Staff were very helpful and went the extra mile to accommodate our needs. My husband is disabled so needed extra pillows and these were quickly sourced. I'm on Slimming World so asked for a custom made breakfast which was made beautifully both mornings we stayed. I asked to take my husbands breakfast to our room and this was very considerately plated up and wrapped in foil. All staff we met were very chatty, friendly & helpful. I learned one name and said I'll mention her by name in my review but she said it's a team effort which I thought was humble. Great location from beach, plenty of charity shops and cafes. Great Curry house Bengal Dynasty 2 mins away Decor a bit tacky but food great. For the price was great.

I knocked points because of what I would call the”kerb appeal” of the hotel and the fact there was no lift! But I should have known that when I booked and didn’t check. Wehrmacht er arrived and the young man who checked us in noticed my disability he immediately changed our room to an equal room on the first level. This impressed me as I didn’t even ask. The room was just lovely. Newly and beautifully decorated and indeed there was a sea view and all that I could ask. The room was spotlessly clean but I think that the corridor was not as spic and span as it could be. There was also no food available in the hotel so we had to go into the town for food which as lsd convenient. But having said all this I would book to stay here again most assuredly. Great value for money.

The room was OK though no wardrobe was strange. Tv not great. Wall socket had exposed wires.

The bar and kitchen appeared clean and modern.

There's no lift, but it wasn't a problem for us, could be for others, though. Information about breakfast wasn't available in the room, but there were a lot of posters around saying what time it opened, etc. No iron in the room asked for one, but it didn't arrive.

The location is perfect, parking on the church across the road. Ideal for beach, pier and shops. The staff were friendly on arrival. The room was clean and comfortable apart from the bed, a little uncomfortable.

Breakfast was an extra charge, not really a problem, dogs were £12 each per night and £50 cash deposit returnable at end of stay.

Location was perfect, very comfortable room, large enough for 3 and 2 dogs, beds comfy and room clean, very reasonable price. Breakfast In cafe/bar was delicious.

The reception area is being revamped so currently it’s a little off putting.

It doesn’t look much from the outside or just in reception so I was a bit apprehensive but I believe they are revamping this area. However when I opened the door to my room I was really pleased. It was immaculate. Very well presented and nothing to moan about. The staff were friendly and happy to greet you with a smile. The location is super convenient also. I didn’t opt for breakfast. My room was very quiet except for the couple next door having intercourse. However this only lasted five minutes. Lucky for me but not for her. Obviously this is not the hotels fault and I would have no hesitation in staying here again. The lack of a lift didn’t bother me at all and to be fair the website clearly states there isn’t one. Thank you to all at the New Alexandra.

Had to go upstairs 2 flights to reach room with my suitcase. There was also a problem with hot water on the 2nd morning when I had to leave by Sunday 10 am. The manager was NOT available for me to complasin about that. I've kept my breakfast receipt for £11 in case I reclaim from them.

The walk up several flights of stairs but that's the same in a lot of Llandudno hotels

Right price not the poshest hotel but did the trick for a two night break The staff were friendly enough and the public bar was good with a large selection of drinks. After seeing several negative reviews I can't complain about the place
