the very steep drive up from the town was a bit intimidating but it's fine, just stay in 1st or 2nd and take the corners wide and slow. I didn't do it in the dark but daylight fine...worth the climb up.!!

the rooms were lovely, decorated beautifully. the shower was great and nice touch with the porridge and brioche for breakfast. The view from the double rooms on first floor are stunning, especially at night. There is a little seated area outside where you could have your cuppa or food bought yourself.

Minor blip was likely my fault for not checking things with accessibility. Trying to get my wheelchair into the room was interesting.

Lovely room and location - there was no hairdryer and had to request on arrival even tho it said there was one (the one we got given worked for 20 secs then broke). There was a dog next door to our room and it kept barking through the night which made it a bit hard to sleep

Just what we needed after a long journey with 2 very tired childrem a well kept wonderful place to stay. Cot was already made up which was great as we could put baba streight to bed. heating was on. The porridge and pastries laid out for breakfast in the room was welcome too great shower comfy beds thank you very much would recommend to anyone needed a place to stay in the area and will 100% book again.

-Not that I needed it, but noticed the only thing not provided was toothpaste. Given the distance to the shops that I was aware of, could be inconvenient for people who may have forgotten theirs -Not a fault of the hotel, but the roads leading to it are very winding and steep at times, if your car/legs can't manage the hills, I'd go somewhere else

-Enough pillows I could construct a throne if I wanted on the bed -Comfortable mattress - I didn't wake up in pain despite it not being/having memory foam like I normally need to avoid pain, very impressed -Good selection of breakfast snacks and drinks -Plenty of towels and toiletries -Very clean -View from the balcony was incredible despite the treeline -Walking trail directly next to the premises to provide an even better, unobstructed view of the town -Very quiet area so easy to fall asleep

positioned up a hill with only narrow footpath in parts for those on foot (although Hobbits recommended taxi service is reliable)

Have stayed over the years at hobbit. Location, view, peace and quiet, comfortable, clean, well serviced self catering lodges with easy to deal staff and management.

There was no heating in the room. We were offered a heater, however, we were out in the city. I was asked to let the host know when we were back. We got back before 9pm and advised the host that the room was still freezing but we got no reply to our message, we also had a child with us. No discount or appolgies for the inconvenience, therefore, won't be returning.

Communication and check in easy. The room was lovely and warm and welcoming. The place was clean, beds comfy, shower fantastic, big bath sheets, in room mini fridge with bottled water, plenty of tea, coffee, etc, lovely surprise....pot of instant porridge and pain au chocolate for breakfast. Iron, ironing board and a good hairdryer....will definitely be using this place again.....we visit family in Halifax, this is so much nicer than anywhere in Halifax, free parking and quiet.... Wish I had found it earlier....
