Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomLovely rural location, with a small lake nearby. We ate at the restaurant which was very nice. The bed was very hard but that is preferable to a really soft one.

United KingdomThe bed was extremely hard and no plug socket close enough to the bed, I had to move the bed and when I moved it there was chocolate under it. 5am till 8am a Tesla car alarm went off every 15minutes and nothing was done to rectify it or owner asked to sort it or move it. Terrible night's sleep. Also not much choice for dinner, especially those limited to what they can eat. However good prices for drinks & food.
Simple and quick check in. Clean & fresh. Powerful shower, spacious rooms.

United KingdomBreakfast the first morning was very poor. It felt that it had been made a long time before. Bacon was brittle and everything was just luke warm. The toast was like concrete. The timing wasn't great either as the cooked breakfast arrived before we finished our cereal. Breakfast the 2nd morning was better so we assumed that maybe it was a different chef. Although having to book our breakfast at the start of our stay we felt was odd, and getting no choice as to what we would like on a particular day was strange.
The meal that we had in the restaurant in the evening was excellant and good value . The service was fantastic and staff very attentive.

United KingdomThe bed mattress wasn't ideal and didn't quite fit the base - a minor issue!
The Pear Tree is in a fairly unique location - feeling very rural, though very near to the North Worcester M5 junction. It is pleasant in terms of decor.as.well, some older, some newer but refreshingly different from franchise hotels. The breakfast was a good quality spread and the staff very helpful on the telephone which was my main contact in advance of a stay where I arrived late and left early.

United KingdomI was out of my comfort zone driving there but unfortunately due to work commitments I had to. Got used to the country roads which I don’t like driving down. Just more confident on open roads. The signage when leaving the premises obstructs looking onto the road which for me was a worry because I had to pull forward to see if any traffic was on coming from both directions. Maybe move the signage back & have it lit up so it’s easier to view.
The property was in a lovely setting. A remote area. If you didn’t know where it was it could be a little out the way. Loved the room & was surprised when I arrived to a separate En-suite- lounge & bedroom. The size was really good & had everything you needed as mentioned in the advertisement. I didn’t expect the lounge. So thank you. Some of the furniture/carpets could do with an upgrade but they serve their purpose. Saw 2 staff members during my stay & both were pleasant & helpful. Clean towels-bed linen & shower gels/soaps provided. Small area for tea making (served its purpose). I think the wardrobe would easily fit in the bedroom. Then the kettle area could be extended. Otherwise good.

United KingdomService in the restaurant. On arrival it was dark and raining, car park appeared to be completely full and we were unsure where to go, however there was a large car park round the back,. There was no signage visible.
We had dinner in the on-site restaurant, which was the Gurkha Country Bar and Grill. The food and drinks were good, but the service was awfully slow. They were not busy, only one other table occupied.

United KingdomThe staff were efficient but not that welcoming, which can always be a nice touch. The location is a little remote if you don't drive.
We had a very relaxing break. The hotel is quiet and peaceful nestled in some beautiful countryside not too far from Droitwich Spa . We arrived on a Monday so the restaurant was closed but there was a pizza van in the car park. We enjoyed a drink in the bar while we waited for our pizza which was brought to us by a nice lady. The room was spacious, clean and nicely furnished. In the morning we went for a stroll around the grounds which have lovely views and a picturesque lake. Afterwards we had a snack and a cup of tea in the on site tea room it all made for a pleasurable stay.

United KingdomWe hadn’t realised that the food in the restaurant was Gurkha. There was only limited English food on the child’s menu, which was nice. The Nepalese staff were very friendly and tried hard but it was all a bit amateurish. The bar didn’t have draft beer. A pity because it’s a very nice venue. The website had not mentioned the ethnicity of the place when we booked.
Very nice place, room and staff in good country location.

United KingdomLocation was perfect for sitting out & enjoying the weather, the tea & cake shop was superb & very reasonably priced I had the opportunity to have a meal at the Gurkha restaurant which was both friendly & the food was thoroughly enjoyable The hotel had all the comfort I had hoped to expect & my room was both spacious & fully equipped with tea & coffee, my ensuite bathroom was clean & fully equipped with all the particulars for use. There was a large spacious grassed area behind the hotel which provides a gracious place to sit, & contemplate. There are plenty of public pathways dotted around the area for those wishing to take walks in the countryside & the town of Tibberton is only a half hour walk away, there is a canal system which historically has been the life blood of the area & now provides moorings for the community of narrow boats which are strung along the cut. The town of Droitwich Spa is an hour & half walk away on a good day & provides some enjoyable scenery along the way, but be mindful as the shared routes detailed on mapping systems don't always distinguish from public highways & public walkways, but the local traffic is mindful of pedestrian use & are often very obliging. The town has some wonderful short walks into & along the canal systems which provide the best team rooms & local pubs & meals to be enjoyed, the town has had a lot of new attention to business opportunities but is still currently in it's transition stage, there are independent places to eat & shop for independent styles & accessories. There is a train station of Droitwich Spa & is connected to both Birmingham New Street as well as Worcester.
