Staff asked me to make a good review for the hostel. Definitely not an award winning hostel may of been in the past. Rooms desperately need redecorating and cleaning thoroughly so much dirt inside the radiators and cleaner come into the dorm at 7pm making noise. Got woken up at 4am with fire works going off outside. For one night the place is okay.

The room smelt bad on the ground floor. You had leave the room and enter the bar area to access the toilets.

My bed was the lowest one of 3. So almost on the ground, the metal that carry my matres was broken in the middel so i lay with my ass on the ground with the matras. Also the woman at the bar buys good reviews with free locker room that normaaly cost 3 pound. That's not the intention of reviews. The showers were not clean

The rooms were absolutely red hot with no fans or AC and some of the windows wouldn't stay open. Hardly slept.

Fun atmosphere, staff were relaxed and friendly but not especially attentive. Location convenient enough.

The bathroom too small for me, because of my body size, but yeah, I thought the bathroom is standard/normal size, for me just for the toilet and bathroom. Totally it's fine.

I like the common area, you can mingle around with people and make any conversation with reception. They have breakfast need to pay for it. The location quite strategic and easy to get here by walk. Most important, its safe area. Reception was friendly and helpful even I know, I was annoying that time.

The one staff member who was rude and hostile to me about the precious tea bag , openly rude and hostile demanding the 1 pound i have Never been charged, all he could say was " i dont know know one told me" Did he think im lying ? I told him i was the one who bought the cheesecake for them and he wasnt even able to understand the context He spoils the atmosphere there and my opinion has dropped .Why is he so rude ? If he hates his job he should find another one and leatn some manners and customer care. Not ask " what for " ..when I asked for a mug in the first place A nasty horrible man.

The ONLY RUDE AND OPENLY HOSTILE STAFF MEMBER NAMED GEORGE Who i had never met before but I saw him sitting eating the cheesecake i bought for the staff so I gathered then hes a staff member. When I came down at 01HO0 asked for a mug please... "WHAT FOR "..... he growled I said " for tea " He then proceeded to be even more rude and hostile and openly hateful with an attitude that frankly doesnt belong in a hostel , I have my own teabags and coffee and havent been charged yet, even though I would have no problem paying for all the tea and coffee ive had . and 1 pound for a tea bag is actually a big fat rip off as well Any way . GEORGE is disgusting , rude, hostile , combative, and spoilt the whole week that I had been there, I was actually very keen to come back and visit the guys there once I leave, but now I wont in case that man is there. This morning I came down and he was there with the boss . acting all friendly and fake seeing that I told the story. He couldnt look my way . I might book another place for the last 3 days as I dont want to see his nasty face again . Or maybe I wont, and let him cringe with embaresment and wait for an apology from him. Maybe he needs to go learn CUSTOMER CARE and MANNERS asap. Better still, find another job
