Great location. we travelled up for the football, Its only one stop outside of Ipswich. The owner was great as were the staff. Food looked really good, however we had already eaten. Drinks were all fairly priced

Really enjoyed our stay at the Railway Inn, staff were good and helpful and the room was lovely and cosy. Very clean bed was comfortable and we both have bad backs so that's very positive. Everything you need in the hall way milk soft drinks, fruit juice, yoghurts, and water fruit juice plus cereal, we didn't need to have our usual English breakfast were full on what was on offer. The only very small thing is we were in the back bedroom there was an outside bar so was busy and a little bit noisy I'm deaf so not a problem for me but my wife said it calmed down as the night went on so wasn't a real problem. Will definitely stay again perfect for our needs.

Nothing really. I could hear the quiz and trains in my room, but the quiz ended well before 11, and the trains didn't keep me awake at all

If i was to be picky about anything all id say is the firedoor at the bottom of the stairs was being banged shut quite alot which was quite loud

Bed was very comfortable and the continental style breakfast avilable in your room and also just outside in the hall way had more breakfast options such as cereals, oat milk, hot choc, porridge etc Also good selection of drinks in bar area.

Warm welcome, lovely rooms and a good choice of ‘help yourself’ breakfast items available included in room price, with a table and chairs in each room. Cooked breakfast available downstairs for an additional cost. Comfortable bed and the room was lovely and warm. we’d definitely recommend a stay here.

Hotel is next to the railway (unsurprisingly) and road, and windows aren't particularly soundproof
