The beds were quite solid, and we couldn’t find the sheets for the top of them until the second day. The site said there was a bbq but it was just the fire pit, which I didn’t feel comfortable cooking on. It would have been good if there was more food storage as the squirrels stole our biscuits 😆

The globe was fun to stay in, the location was great, and even though there were other people staying we didn’t see them, we felt completely alone in the woods Which was really therapeutic. It was a compost toilet which I like, and it had a good shower. Also when we got there, there was a problem with the gas pipe, but Laura came up to us and fitted a new pipe very quickly even though she was in the middle of the bed time routine with the children. Fantastic customer service.

We were meant to stay Jubilee weekend & when we were 20 minutes away Ed called us full of apologies - they'd double booked us. We live in London so we'd done a long drive, I'm pregnant & we had a dog & all our meals cooked ready in the car. More than anything, sad to have bank holiday ruined last minute. I had an email from Laura which was super apologetic - they rebooked us in & refunded us for the trouble, which was so great. In her email she'd said 'I’m looking forward to paying particular attention to providing you with a wonderful baby moon before the little one arrives' so when we finally turned up last Thursday we were really excited for this long awaited trip away, the only one before we have the baby. Some nitpicking things/not a big deal but for the price -water in the shower wasn't warm, fine as was a warm day but weird as should be. We'd read about the noisy church, so were prepared with ear plugs. Reading the reviews, snacks we were provided with is the standard, which for £135 a night is the least you could expect. Breakfast - there was ONE egg and some strawberries and blueberries which we put in the compost as they were going off and some bread which wasn't fresh. But in terms of communication that was the disappointment - I wasn't expecting a welcoming party, but nobody came to see us and say hello, or even sorry for the bank holiday mix up in person. There wasn't even a note or a gesture of anything at all which Laura had implied there would be in her email. When we had to leave a night early I emailed Laura explaining we had to go as my partner was sick & mentioning some of the things which were a bit disappointing and she just didn't reply....it's such a shame as I think there was an honest mistake with the first booking and then promises of making up for it, which just didn't happen for whatever reason :(

We stayed at Basecamp, lovely secluded spot in the woods next to a gorgeous field. Cosy bed in the pod (it says the for 4 people but that would be a tight squeeze) - lovely view out of the pod to the wooded space. Great set up with the kitchen & private loo & shower (soap smelt incredible) and comfortable bed. Mostly stocked up kitchen although no good sharp knives (only a breadknife) if you're doing anything on the BBQ/meal prep so take your own. Amazing fire with a pizza oven, comfy deck chairs to sit in around it - had such a lovely night there. Hot water in the kitchen is amazing, must be especially helpful with a family to cook and clean up after.

The host didn’t answer calls or messages for over an hour, from ourselves and two other couples. All had put down our arrival times and the host was no where to be seen and uncontactable. Got a half hearted apology when she did eventually arrive.

Very interesting set up, original, quirky. Never stayed anywhere like it before.

Everything. Beautiful location in the woods. Own space and facilities away from others. Owners had thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. We loved that it was eco friendly.

Greeted on arrival- Friendly and Welcoming Secluded in the woodland- Lovely & Quiet Quirky little bridge over the stream- Nice to watch wildlife & explore Well equipped kitchen, camp fire, sleeping pod and wash facilities Fantastic to have essential groceries provided, I.e milk,coffee,tea,fresh bread, eggs & butter Family & Dog friendly Everything you need for a break away. Would definitely recommend & visit again!
