The boxed in waste pipe boxed in above the bed freaked us out a few times, we had a disturbed nights sleep because of this. Would suggest maybe better sound insulating this.

The river view was absolutely stunning, really lovely. Room was exceptionally clean, super friendly staff, wonderful hot shower. Hands off and easy checkout process.

Generally run down look to it Needed updating etc Smoke alarm in room was flashing brightly throughout the night right above the bed. Extraction fan in bathroom didn’t work Bed was a bit lumpy and pillows were flat. Shower leaked onto bathroom floor

Rooms a little on the expensive side and no real obvious advantage between the standard and deluxe room for the price differential. Outdoor space tired and moorings in urgent need of repair (though appreciate that is a huge cost)

Location, comfy bed, nice staff, great steak. As boaters, we have stayed here many times. There is nowhere else in the locale to rival the view of the river from your room. Just gorgeous on a sunny morning.

The property had no heating that worked there was an electric heater that was good. The heated towel rail also did not work.

The property had great parking and the location for what we needed was good. The accommodation had everything we needed and was lovely on the river.

Advertised as soundproof - the rooms were most definitely not after hearing a couple enjoying themselves for half an hour lol. Rooms could have been cleaner they were very dusty. The bathroom needed some TLC the shower screen was falling apart.

The property was conveniently located. Nice area on the river, would be lovely in summer. Spacious modern room. Adequate parking. Staff helpful and friendly. Attached to a restaurant and bar that served very tasty home made food and lovely 2 for 1 cocktails at a reasonable price.

The kettle needs to be changed, I wanted to make a coffee but I couldn’t because of the limescale. Also the water in the sink of the bathroom had a really strong smell of hard water, needs to be filtered.

The size of the room and of the shower. We really enjoyed the shower (can fit 2 people). The mattress was comfortable only bad thing about it was it was two mattresses attached to each other so you could feel it in the middle. The view of the river was really nice. Even if it’s close to a railway we couldn’t hear the trains. Bathrobes are really nice. Parking on site.

This was the main problem. The Swan did not offer breakfast and the alternative suggested was not very near and anyway did not open on Monday and Tuesday mornings - the very days we were there!

We used the restaurant on the first evening and thought it was very good. Pity about breakfast - see next question.

I asked for an iron and ironing board which said it was available if required. But never appeared. Staff couldn't find. The river outside is lockable to anyone with a boat and unfortunately a few were docked after hours which was early close. 9pm which was a shame as a solo traveler . And though I understand people wish to socialise it was quite noisy right outside until 1.45am. The hotel I'm sure don't have any say in this but it was quite disturbing. Thank you to the team if Staff that were on that made it pleasant

The room was spacious and facilities inside the room fair. Nice view outside. Staff very pleasant and accommodating for solo traveler.

Sadly this place is let down by its cleaning. The carpet needs a good going over with a cleaner, the walls in the bathroom need attacking with bleach and mould remover. The pub is similarly a bit neglected, a good tidy up and possibly fix the decking and it'd be great. Most of the problems are easily fixable but someone just didn't seem to be all that bothered, which is a real shame.

The location is lovely, tranquil next to the river and the food from the pub was nice.

There were people from the pub walking around in front of our little balcony so had no privacy as there were no net curtains. Also people chatting and banging doors til very late at night, and someone in a boat moored in front of our room playing loud music at 0230 in the morning, had to close the window. No fault of the hotel though. This didn’t mar our stay and plan to book again when around the area.

Unfortunately, there was no coffee maker in our room - this in itself wasn’t an issue at all, although we had been provided with pods to use.

The hotel was in a lovely location - right next to the river with a great view and balcony overlooking it. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

The carpet was dirty, and there were stains on the wall. The shower wasn’t clean so we didn’t use it. The room seemed to be in need of general maintenance- painting, broken fascia around the shower. The only coat hangers were for the bath robes. The seating area outside had cobwebs and needed cleaning.

Its location by the river gave a lovely view. Warm welcome from staff who showed us to our room. Clean, comfortable bed. Coffee machine was good, and there was a generous supply of tea and coffee. The large fan was welcome on a hot night.
