Although the service was good the food itself was very poor. Nothing like the previous reviews. It looked like they had cut back on quality of ingredients. Great to have a car park but its very small and when its full not easy to back out onto the road. Plenty of parking just outside.

Lovely room, good location and very close to the town centre.

The continental breakfast was quite poor: the pastries were a bit rubbery and the fruit salad was not very inviting.

Central location, spacious room, full of light, very comfortable bed.

Perhaps more supportive chairs/higher in the lounge for elderly guests would be good.

The friendliness and attention of the staff was excellent, the food lovely. The room had everything we needed, and the bed was super comfy.

The rooms whilst very comfortable could perhaps do with a little upgrade (paint etc).

Based at the end of the town it's an ideal base for exploring Hay-On-Wye. The breakfast options were very good, plenty of choice. Other meals were available throughout the day, these too were very good. There is also a bar, so excellent for an evening drink after a day exploring the town/

The welcome we received was lovely from the manager. Our room was great, a good size and clean. Also it was so nice for a change that the hotel made the fact that we had our dog with us no problem at all. All of the staff were great and will stay there again and by the way breakfast was great too.

The room was very small and the curtains thin, so I was awoken very early by the light. I think there should be proper blackout curtains.

Lovely building but needs some refurbishment. Comfortable bed and pleasant restaurant, lovely garden. Good location on the edge of Hay town. The hotel is on a main road but it was quiet at night.

No visible name sign at front of building which I found confusing. I didn’t think google map’s was right and had to ask a passer-by, when dragging a heavy suitcase on a summer day this was an annoying start.

Decor is beautiful reminiscent of old English style, with an amazing garden.
