There wasn't anything we didn't like.

Just back from 4 days in this nice old hotel. It has very friendly and helpful staff, good food in a very convenient location.

we were in the annex and the stairs were steep. I would definitely stay again but ask for a different room

The down grade on facility is that the shower in our room wasn't working and therefore the second night we had to move room.

The hotel was very comfortable. Staff couldn't do enough for you. Food very good.

small thing but the walled garden would benefit from an enclosed bin to put dog waste in and the bin to be emptied more frequently.

rooms were very good, comfortable, great size and well equipped. dog friendly was also a big bonus for us! lots of separate rooms to relax in.

Impossible to contact Reception by phone prior to arrival, with very confusing generic answerphone message.

If i was to be super picky. Some of the repairs in the room weren't to a good standard.

The staff were excellent, nothing was to much bother. Really went that extra mile to make our stay memorable. Also food was to a good standard.

Service hours for dinner were limited (last orders at 7:45 pm.) although this might have been because I was there out-of-season (March).

Breakfast was included in the room rate. You could choose between a cold buffet, a hot Anglo / American menu or both! Dinner was beautifully cooked. I chose the home-made Herefordshire steak and ale pie with fresh local vegetables. Excellent!

coach room no 17 needs a good clean (carpets) & sliding door, room in generally needs a good refresh, with broken curtain tyebacks and bed linen not in good condition.room 17 is directly opposit the front door and so there was noise from people coming in late at night.

Excellent breakfast and friendly staff, walking distance to town, good car parking.

We honestly thought it was far too hot throughout the hotel. Our room was 26°C after we took a reading from my smartphone.. the radiator controls were isolated, so I repaired the controls, which gave us a pleasant night's sleep.. and no,I didn't charge..

Great welcome from reception right through to bar staff, restaurant staff and breakfast staff. Very welcoming and eager to help with our requirements. Great food from the restaurant and an amazing choice of local products. It's definitely worth a trip to stay and eat here..

The room we had for 3 night (room 2) was small and felt like we had been shut away in a corner. It would have been fine for a single night. it would have been nicer to have a more spacious room for our longer stay. There was also something banging in the wind for 2 of the nights in the garden beneath the window. The shower screen leaked onto the floor. The heating made alot of noise when it can on The walls were very thin and we could here the nabouring rooms conversion and showering.

The staff were friendly, the hotel was clean and well presented.

Spacious room (deluxe), very comfy bed. Clean room. Location near centre of town was brilliant. We didn't have the breakfast or dinner so can't comment on the food but the dining areas did look inviting. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming.

The large double bed had a 'mound' going right down the middle. So it was a bit like sleeping in two single beds.

Big room. Very relaxing in the sofa's and arm chairs in the bar areas. Lovely steak meal.
