The long walking distance to the amenities such as toilet/ washing up with no stepping stone meant our shoes were always muddy. Definitely recommend a wellies.

The Yurt is a beautiful place to stay! The place is cozy and perfect to spend with your partner. The area is quiet but it’s so nice to just relax, chill and have no responsibilities! We spoke to a guy from the farm and he was so lovely! The hosts were very helpful and answered every message we had sent them, we would 100% recommendation staying here if you have the chance.

This wasn't an issue for us as we are heavy sleepers, but there was a squeaky sound from the skylight whenever the wind picked up so just a note that maybe bring earplugs if you're a lighter sleeper!

Everything was so serene and perfect! The bed was one of the comfiest beds we've ever slept on! The location was perfect for Colchester zoo but still far enough away from everything that you still felt like you had your privacy. The fairy lights were such a nice touch and made it very cozy! Even with the weather we still very much enjoyed ourselves and we will be back! It was gurt yurt 🤩

The electric tripped a few times but the owners were very apologetic and these things happen , they also sorted it straight away . Unfortunately the heaters hadn’t been switched on prior out 6.30 on arrival so on an icy night it was extremely cold for an hour , however it was lovely and warm after this . It would have benefited to have water ready in the container for immediate use when it was cold . The toilets were 150 M across the field which we did know about however being a freezing night we got cold quickly . The lights were pretty and calming however I needed the head torch on (provided) to see to cook food . The little touches like the supply of essentials were nice however the ketchup in fridge was mouldy .

We loved how cosey and cute the yurt was and the setting was beautiful . The little touches like hot water bottles were cute . Lots of cosey blankets and some games to play for entertainment. Pretty lights and plenty of amenities for simple cooking . Friendly owners and very helpful when the electric tripped. Clear instructions for self checkin . Defo will be back .

It was quite hard to locate from the main road, the sign was really small and as we arrived when the sun was setting it was hard to see (it's the first road on the right as you come off the A12). The mugs available were like camping mugs so the handles were too hot to hold when we made drinks so we had to wait before we could bring them to the bed/outside.

The yurt is very cute, quite spacious and the bed was really comfortable. The location was perfect, so peaceful and was lovely to watch the moon and stars in the evening. The Dyson heater was perfect and kept us warm. There were milk and eggs, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Shower and toilet area was really clean.

Beautiful quiet, private location, stunning sunset, cozy and warm, very comfortable king size bed, every utensil thought of. There is a kettle! The bathroom being 150m away could be an issue for some but we didn’t mind as the property was such good value for money. Very clean and modern bathroom facilities. Lovely, friendly, easily contactable hosts. Highly recommend.

Slightly muddy but we will remember to pack our wellies next time we visit!

Romantic and secluded it was the perfect getaway for a relaxed weekend away for two. Room was so cosy and warm, deceivingly roomy and the yurt was fully stocked with blankets, coffees and board games we took full advantage of! There was campfire equipment provided which we enjoyed very much as we ordered some pizzas and sat by the fire. The owners were very friendly and provided all information we needed via text and we had a nice chat with the land owner who recommended a lovely local pub to eat at. Could not recommend enough.

Absolutely nothing, cannot fault it.

What a hidden gem, such a romantic place, so peaceful and tranquil. The owners had thought of everything, even leaving us some charcoal for a bbq which was brilliant when we arrived. Really comfortable accommodation and spotlessly clean throughout, as were the shared bathroom facilities.

The only thing we could think of would be an electric kettle and firelighters, lighter fluid and matches for the barbecue and firepit.

The Yurt was beautifully presented with nice little touches like eggs for brekkie, eye masks to sleep, and blankets, which we used while sitting by the firepit. The bathroom facilities were really good too, with toiletries there for us to use. This was our first Yurt experience and we would definitely recommend. 😊

Only a minor critique but when we arrived the BBQ utensils were not cleaned so we gave it a pre-scrub. The kettle was cute in size but it did take around 30mins to boil water for tea.

The Yurt was in the corner of the field, creating a complete private area to enjoy the stay. Everything was provided from bedding, torches, and drinking water tap to cooking utensils. After our BBQ, we went for an easy walk to Messing, the next town about 35min away. When we came back, we put the fire pit on before heating up our pre-made dinner on the electric stove. We wanted to play some of the board games (and even brought some of our own!) But time must have flown so quickly that we were ready for bed. The shared bathroom is about 5min walk, and is probably the cleanest camping bathroom I've ever seen! This definitely made the stay more comfortable. The Yurt was a great experience to just disconnect and enjoy the countryside with everything prepared by the owners. I really appreciated all the small touches they've thought of.

I didn’t care at all but people might like to know the toilets are quite far from the yurt- a walk across a small field. Wasn’t a problem for us though!

Really gorgeous yurt, far from other people. Had lovely details like tea and coffee as well as fresh milk rather than UHT which was so different and greatly appreciated! Lovely clear ceiling to star gaze too!

This did not affect our enjoyment at all but there was a low level hum in the distance late at night which I assume was the planes from Stanstead. . This was actually quite a comforting sound.

Lovely rural location. Yurt was nice and big and a really nice surprise as it had electric, a fridge and was a lovely size and well presented. Very clean and bed was very comfortable. Nicely presented bathroom a short walk from the yurt. This was In corner of well kept field with lovely countryside round it, the dog loved running about and having fun with his toys! Appreciated drinking water tap outside. Nice touches here and there like eggs, skewers for marshmallows, etc Lots of wood provided for fire pit. Lovely

Everything from start to finish. Beautifully laid out, stunning fixtures and fittings. Perfect lighting, amazing views. The little touches to details were well delivered and it was a very relaxed stay.

What a hidden gem! Idyllic setting, peaceful and secluded. Facilities were great and everything we needed for our overnight stay was provided. Great communication with the hosts and all questions answered quickly. We will be back :-)

Nothing, it was all just great!

We loved the quiet location, the fire and barbecue, the skylight, the lighting, the comfortable bed... It had everything we needed. Fuel provided was a big help as the stay was a surprise for my partner.
