Rooms are dated and carpets in a poor state. Reception in the basement and poorly signed.

Nice building, friendly staff. Location perfect for Tram into town, Fottball ground and the Salford quays museums etc just over the river.

A very nice, comfortable & warm room with everything I needed. I liked the interiors and grand staircase. The hotel was 2 minutes walk away from Trafford Bar Metrolink station to get into the city centre. Plus with really excellent staff who couldn't do more to help. I loved my stay there.

Great spot for a couple of nights. Going to an event at O2 Victoria warehouse-10 min walk away. Easy access to Media City. Cheap uber ride into town. Everyone super friendly.

-On arrival found I'd been "upgraded" to a larger room. Happy with room itself and large size BUT- -This was room 11 on the ground floor. It is next to an external door which I think is a fire door - ie automatically slams shut loudly - but also a service door.which was used very early a couple of times each on Saturday and Sunday mornings = end of otherwise peaceful slumber. -Standard industry practice I know, but i always resent it- Kingsize bed made by pushing together 2 beds logitudinally. It would be more comfortable to do so horizontally. -Being charged for parking though only £5/day

On site Staff very nice and helpful. Huge room (see below) Metrolink tram stop 5mins walk then 10mins to town centre. 5mins to OWS(wimming) , Salford Quays Kettle in room Simultaneously a pro and con - Made a mistake with my booking which (PRO) Trafford hall kindly altered with no extra charge BUT (CON) it took 8 days and half a dozen increasingly fraught emails to effect.Even then only got a decision after "reminding" them that even before arrival they'd already supplied me with 7days of negativity to post in a review. Didn't use them but retail park across the rd and salford quays and Trafford malls within 10mins

The beds weren’t the most comfortable and the ‘double’ was 2 single mattresses put together with a big gap in the middle.

Great location and conveniently located next to a tram stop so it was easy to get into central Manchester.

I was a bit disappointed I booked a cottage and was upgraded into the main building
