Had small group of loud lager louts using foul language during bands playing there & made it hard to hear music. Shower in room had hardly any water pressure. Breakfast was very basic.

Very good food & drinks. Large rooms & comfortable.

It is a little run down but still very clean

The location was lovely, just outside town, a really nice countryside area with another pub 5 mins walk away My shower wasn't working so I was given the key to the room next door without any problems

Only got real breakfast one day out of three. The chief was sick, and apparently the other people who worked there could not serve breakfast. I did get a sandwich these days, but not more.

Although it was great having the bar downstairs the music was a bit too loud if you wanted to go to sleep b4 11 o clock.

It was very convenient for getting to oxford. Small walk to the bustop to catch the no 3 bus that run every 20 minutes and doesn't have the price tag of staying in Oxford. Staff were very friendly. The accommodation in fairness could do with a bit of a spruce up but was nice and clean. Rooms were a good size. Perfect for us who just need a place to sleep

A Very, Very Basic Stay If you're expecting luxury, comfort, or even decent service—think again. This hotel is as basic as it gets. And when I say basic, I mean very basic. Rooms: They had beds. That’s about all I can say. Don’t expect any thoughtful touches or comfort beyond the absolute essentials. The shower gel dispenser wasn’t even filled. Service: The staff at breakfast acted like they were doing us a favour just by taking our order. Not exactly the welcoming experience you’d hope for. Breakfast: Functional, at best. It filled a hole, but it was one of the worst breakfasts I’ve had. Definitely nothing to look forward to. Overall, if you just need four walls and a roof over your head, this place will do. But if you value even a hint of hospitality or comfort, look elsewhere.

The initial room I was given was not as advertised, and the lock on the door was falling apart, which made me feel very unsafe as a woman travelling alone. Thankfully, staff gave me a different room which was what I had paid for based on pictures. Then there was no hot water in the shower.

Some of the staff members gave some pretty confusing social cues and acted pretty grumpily. The room itself was pretty dilapidated and is in serious need of improvement. The door lock was barely attached and there was black mould all over the ceiling. I didn’t really want to touch anything or put my things down. The breakfast left a lot to be desired.

The restaurant food was truly delicious and well priced, and a couple of the staff in the restaurant area were very sweet and gave the right level of attentiveness. The sheets were clean (I believe!).

It's a personal preference but the bed was too soft to the point that you felt like sinking. Pub/Restaurant downstairs was a bit too noisy for me.

Breakfast was good and the location was just perfect, easy to find the hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Tho the place was old, it still provided great value for your money.

Understaffed for a Christmas Eve, staff stressed and not overly polite. Unable to find our booking for a while, especially while having to run a busy bar at the same time. The room was big and fairly clean, but the furniture and furniture were cheap and old. Stains on the bedcovers and rips in the curtains.

Convenient for where the rest of the family were staying. Relatively cheap.

Entrance hall needs painting. The single bed mattress was old, could feel the springs. Room was cold despite radiator as very tall, large bay window, very windy.

Location village pretty, lock and wide river 10 mins pretty walk. Big outdoor spaces and easy parking. Dining room for Sunday buffet Indian and English was a lovely big room. Lovely big shower. Beautiful breakfast choices various eggs, smoked salmon, beans.

The hotel itself was very dated and a little shabby. We were in what was classed a small double but the room was only serviced for 1 person ( which we realised in the morning!) The breakfast was mediocre, we had to ask for hot drinks and no condiments were available.

The location was why we chose the hotel as we were visiting friends nearby. The area was lovely and we enjoyed the canal

The rooms are quite run down. Single-glazed windows meant that it was a bit cold. The bathroom could do with being re-fitted; holes in the wall, etc., but it was clean. Beds were comfortable enough for one night, but I wouldn't want to stay much longer.

Breakfast was simple but good, with a menu of a few offerings which they make to order. Location was right where I wanted to be. There was plenty of room to park and they were happy for me to leave my car for a few hours the following day. The restaurant has a good-looking menu of Bangladeshi food (curries) and they also have a 'normal' pub menu food.
