Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We reserved and paid for 2 nights of parking, but the second night the parking was completely full. We did get a refund on the second night because of this.
Perfect studio, very comfortable, new and clean. Kind staff and lots of very nice extras. We've had the best sleep here!

Information on drop off and short stay parking. We only needed to park for 10 mins to drop off items then move car but there was little information on anywhere to go and we were told we might get a fine for staying even a very short time in the car park. So more guidance and signage on short stay needed.
Very good facilities and room for money.

Lack of instruction as to how to.work cooker and oven/microwave but I got there eventually. Was refused a.third pint at their bar as barman thought I had had enough? I just went next door to the other pub.
Private apartment with washing machine and proper cooking facilities. Friendly staff and lovely location. Bed in the middle of the room away from the windows. And proper thick curtains that overlapped in the middle. Such a luxury in a hotel these days!

Very little character or charm to hotel although reception staff were ok - nearby associated (?) breakfast and restaurant expensive and limited in scope. Parking not secure and not included (although some ‘free’ time limited slots available on the road nearby).
Comfortable clean room with good facilities (cutlery hard to find!) and reasonable price

Convenient to city of Cambridge. Close to public transport for visiting city. Village feel. Sainsbury’s close by. Restaurants. Activities within hotel - wine tasting. Parking of £15 is for twenty four hours. Kitchen facility had everything including a washing machine and dishwasher. Detergent was provided. Can’t recommend enough.

As before, too dark in the evenings - bulbs need to be brighter to facilitate working. Shower leaked over door. We moved sofa to find earring - hadn't been cleaned under there for a long time.
Nicely laid out, comfy bed, friendly staff. Close to amenities.

Location a bit farther out from city center than I expected. But hotel provides a pass for the local bus into town And Uber was 8 or 9 pounds, so not a problem.
Hotel part of a larger facility. Hyatt across a courtyard. Nice restaurant between the two. Also a bar. Would be a nice place to stay but we were here to see Cambridge not hang out at the hotel.

Missing window blinds to keep the room cool and light adjustable from the full summer sun.
Comfortable design and independent cooking options. Eco friendly hotel operation and excellent courtyard garden layout and design. Modern electric transport connections to the city, no petrol or diesel power.

There are (only) 2 or 3 dining options near the hotel, which was fine for us because we were staying one night. There is excellent public transport to the city, if you want more variety.
There is a large parking lot under the hotel with electric charging points. We were able to check in earlier for free. The hotel is located outside the center - for us that was ideal. This allowed us to easily park the car and have a nice walk across the heath to the center.

Only one window in the kitchen. No vent in the bathroom. As a co sequence of this, the air in the flat was stale and sometimes smelly. The hotel is very big and the corridors leading to the rooms huge and often empty. It was very easy to get lost. Also kind of dodgy since there were no people around at the room level

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Turing Locke. The accommodation was clean and well equipped. It had very comfortable beds, the best shower and security parking (pre-booking required at a cost of £15 per night). What really made the property stand out was the friendly and helpful staff!

You overcharged me for my stay which is just criminal. I booked for 4 nights at £638. Modified my booking to 3 nights and you still charged me £628. Unfortunately, for this reason alone, I will not be recommending anyone to use the services of booking.com or Turing Locke.

Insufficient elevators (room was very far from the elevator, challenging if you have a lot of luggages), lighting in the room was poor, bathroom sink does not drain well
the room was complete with cooking equipment and cutleries, members of the staff were friendly and very helpful, room was pretty and with great layout
