Given that this is a community run hotel I don't think anything could really be improved upon. It isn't especially plush, but that's not important.

The staff were really helpful and provided us with a breakfast roll with fruit and cake to take away in the morning. The evening meal was very good. The hotel is in a very quiet location and the room was spacious. The staff were welcoming and the cider was good!

Evening meal was delicious, well made - the staff were fantastic, very warm and welcoming. The building itself is in need of a lot of repairs and updating but is however a traditional non profiting hotel so on that basis we over looked the decor etc.

Sadly the restaurant was closed the night we were there but they recommended a very nice alternative.

Shower room door didn't shut properly & it didn't seem to have an extractor fan so got very warm very quickly.

The property and situation was perfect in every way , beautiful views from our bedroom window staff couldn’t be more friendly , the one downside was breakfast was included in the price, my brother and I were both looking forward to a good old welsh traditional breakfast we collected the cutlery as did other guests only to be told it’s just cereal and toast , very nice but not what we were expecting. Had we been aware we would of probably gone for another location had we had it , it would of been a 9/10 ratting , hopefully they will take that on board and have a rethink , but really hope it works for a lovely community pub .

The building is old and tired in places. It was a very hot day and the room has no air con, and only one of windows opened which made the room very hot.

Booked at short notice and they were ready and expecting us. We had dinner at the pub and it was just delicious, best food we have had eating out for a while. Mountain View’s from the room. We stayed in a room as a family of three and the room was a good size Considering it was a working pub, it was quiet in our room Sound of the birds in the morning was delightful Polite and efficient staff Breakfast included in the price, which made the room excellent value for money. Breakfast was basic (toast, cereal, yogurt, fruit) but ample and very nice. This made the stay very convenient and set us up well for the day.

Only 1 TEAbag in my room and the big teapot provided at breakfast, sadly I can only drink builders tea. Flex on kettle in bedroom too short- needs socket at table height. TOO MUCH PLASTIC- please consider how breakfast process could reduce plastic waste.

Pleasant large room with buffet cold breakfast. Hot drink was brought to the table by the staff. Single bedroom good size for me and the dog. Good shower. Some complimentary tea/coffee

Remaining issue of breakfast. It would be nice to have option of cooked meal (as in 2022), especially when the weather is less kind. Fruit juice, cornflakes and toast isn't very inspiring. Only other thing, although I stayed for 4 nights, I did not have a single room clean, which seems unfair for 'long stay' guests.

Major refurbishment since my last visit in 2022, both room fixtures & fittings and front of building very attractive. Staff very helpful - quickly sorted a problem I had with 'cold' shower. Much appreciated as I was staying for 4 days.

the floorboards between the rooms are rather noisy and you can hear folk move around but thankfully at around 21:30pm people settled down and I was able to catch a good sleep. I believe I snored myself because I think I woke myself up. I have hayfever which added to it.

I was able to check in at 17pm as Lorraine had just come on shift and she showed me my room and informed me where I could catch a bus the next morning. I had a lovely dinner of pork sausages, mash, peas and gravy. After a longish day out hiking, I was glad of it and a shower.
