Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South AfricaIt is a steep walk up to the apartment but I quickly found some shortcuts that made it easier.
Compact self catering apartment with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Great views of St George's from the small balcony

United StatesYou must be in good shape to walk to the Main Street for a bus or shopping. I workout, but the steep roads will make you want to get a taxi or rent a car if you are not capable of climbing stairs for 20-30 minutes.
I loved all the supplies in the room. She had cooking utilities that made it so I could find my own food. It has a beautiful view of the trees, town, stadium, and ocean. It felt very private and peaceful. Owner was available for any questions.

DenmarkIt’s up the hill and the bus only stops halfway up. I enjoy walking so I didn’t mind though. Be aware of mosquitoes on the balcony at night.
Great view from the small balcony. Very much enjoyed the outdoor kitchen, so you can cook dinner while the sun sets. The apartment is cute, small and very cozy.

CanadaIt was a little far from restaurants. You had to walk about 1.5 km downhill without sidewalks for most of the way. Also considerable distance from groceries. On other hand, it was easy to get a taxi to wherever you wanted to go.
Excellent wifi, AC, Angela very pleasant and helpful. Lovely hot shower with plenty of water. On more rural hillside. Loved listening to whistling frogs at night. Kitchen had some facilities for cooking and heating food. There was a fridge and microwave. Near to Tony’s - a great BBQ cookout. Great views.

United Stateswe had a great time. It was small, but cozy and we were able to make it work well. I cooked on the back porch and we slept comfortably with the air conditioning and the internet worked well for us. The bathroom is spacious enough for the both of us, and gave us a semblance of privacy as well while we traveled together. I was able to make a great cup of coffee every morning thanks to what was provided by Miss Angela . It ended up being a great experience, and we will do it again as well as recommend it to friends.

United Statesit is a little bit far from St. George’s (a leisurely 30 min walk down big hills, with the same coming back up) although the walk is very straightforward. stock up on food and groceries before you get there if you can! :)

United KingdomWifi could be a bit dodgy and slow in certain places in the hut but otherwise did work well and if you buy a SIM card the signal is great so isn’t too much of a problem. The area was good for me but may not be for others depends what you want to do. The whole island has lots of hills so walking is tiring. The hut is about a 20 min walk away from St George’s town and the walk is actually a nice walk but is a lot of incline and decline roads. Bus station is in the town and is very easy to get to Grand Anse beach and other beautiful areas of the island so is very convenient and I feel like I got a real feel for local life, much better than staying in a compound resort I must say!
I travelled by myself, the hut was a perfect size for me, would also be good for close friends or couples. It is very compact but has everything you need, small kitchen, decent sized bathroom, double bed and a TV! Lovely seating area outside with the most amazing view of the island. The hut was clean and well presented with ceiling fans and aircon too.
